Pembelajaran STEAM berperan penting dalam pendidikan abad 21. Guru sebagai salah satu aspek kunci dari implementasi pendidikan memegang peran penting dalam pelaksanaan pembelajaran STEAM. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplor implementasi pembelajaran STEAM di sekolah dasar dan tantangan apa saja yang dihadapi guru sekolah dasar dalam implementasi STEAM. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif deskriptif dengan metode survei. Sebanyak 32 guru sekolah dasar daerah Jawa Barat dan Banten menjadi partisipan dalam penelitian ini. Proses pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui angket mengenai implementasi pembelajaran STEAM dan tantangan pembelajaran STEAM. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa guru telah mengimplementasikan pembelajaran STEAM dengan mempraktikkan pembelajaran yang berpusat kepada peserta didik, pembelajaran dengan model inkuiri dan berbasis masalah, evaluasi, refleksi, kolaborasi, serta melaksanakan pembelajaran yang terintegrasi baik secara konten maupun keterampilan. Adapun tantangan yang diungkapkan guru dalam implementasi pembelajaran STEAM adalah tantangan pedagogik, teknis, fasilitas, sumber pembelajaran STEAM dan waktu pelaksanaan STEAM. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa guru telah melaksanakan kegiatan pembelajaran yang mengarah pada pembelajaran STEAM. Akan tetapi, perlu diadakan pelatihan teknis untuk guru berkaitan dengan teknis implementasi STEAM dan penyediaan fasilitas penunjang terutama fasilitas berbasis teknologi untuk mendukung implementasi STEAM di sekolah dasar.
This study is aimed to develop teaching materials, which is an English module for Elementary School Teacher Education Programs in Indonesia based on the integrated language skill approach. A number of 75 respondents from the Elementary School Teacher Education Programs at three universities participated in this research, they are from Universitas Pendidikan Ganesha in Bali, Universitas Mulawarman in Samarinda, and Universitas Negeri Manado in Manado. At the Elementary School Teacher Education Programs, no book with a practical model of integrated language skill is available at these universities. In collecting and analyzing the data, this study combined the research and development (RD) model of Gall et al. (2003). The process comprised four stages to develop this module, they are (1) preliminary studies and needs analysis, (2) product design and development, (3) evaluation, field test, and product revision, (4) and product refinement and dissemination. The data was gained through three instruments from questionnaires, interviews, and formative tests to measure the mastery of English teaching materials for primary school teacher education. The result of this study demonstrated that the module is feasible and effective for English Elementary School Teacher Education Programs at the three universities.
Introduction. New digital technology in education and its constantly evolving paradigm have completely transformed the model of learning and the learning methods. E-learning has become an important tool for teaching and learning environments. Moreover, virtual learning has become a required alternative teaching method in educational system change during the COVID-19 pandemic, especially for learners in elementary schools.Aim. This research aimed to explore the necessities, lack, and want of learning English, which is done virtually at home.Methodology and research methods. This research employs descriptive methods using questionnaires and interviews as instruments to get responses from teachers and students about their learning needs. In the course of the needs analysis process, the importance and priority of teachers’ and students’ needs are discussed. The participants of this study were second-grade elementary school students, and the sample was 40 students and 2 English teachers for 10 months.Results. The research results demonstrate a gap between the needs of learners and current conditions; therefore, the whole language approach, the multimedia, and technology-based English teaching materials will become an inevitable need and even become a solution in the world of education.Scientific novelty. Further research is needed to study educational system change during the COVID-19 pandemic or after, especially in designing teaching materials in various disciplines and at different educational stages. Future studies could be generalised by these research findings to other populations in different learning contexts, and the findings presented in thisarticle should be further explored. In particular, technology-based and multimedia-based teaching materials must be explored more deeply. Furthermore, further research should focus on utilising a different model for needs analysis in language education to verify the need for effective English learning in changing the education system during the pandemic and after.Practical significance. It is thought that this study will contribute to the stakeholders in terms to provide empirical evidence of what necessities, lack, and want should be considered when a teacher will design and develop teaching materials during the COVID-19 period or afte.
Pelatihan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pendampingan pelatihan kepada Guru-guru Sekolah Dasar di Kecamtan Klapa Nunggal Kabupaten Bogor Jawa Barat. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dengan memberikan pelatihan pemanfaatan pembelajaran Multimedia Interaktif berbasis Technological Pedagogical and conten Knowledge [TPACK]. Dengan menggunakan Multimedia interaktif berbasis TPACK diharapkan seorang guru dapat mengajar dan berkreasi dengan melibatkan level kognitif hierarki berpikir tinggi yang di canamkan dari Taksonomi Bloom yaitu; knowledge (Recall or locate information), Comprehension (Understand learned fact), Application (Apply what has been learned to new situation), Analysis (Take apart information to examine different parts), synthesi (Create or invent something: bring together more than one idea) and Evaluation (Consider evidence to support conclusions). Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pendampingan pelatihan dan lokakarya ini adalah berbasis ICT dikarenakan masih dalam kondisi pandemic covid 19. Materi pengabdian meliputi materi yang berkaitan dengan pembuatan Multimedia interaktif berbasis TPACK untuk penggunaan media pembelajaran di Sekolah Dasar. Khalayak sasaran Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat Guru-guru Sekolah Dasar Kecamtan Klapa Nunggal Kabupaten Bogor Jawa Barat. Hasil dari pelatihan pembuatan Multimedia interaktif berbasis TPACK bagi guru sekolah dasar yaitu menghasilkan media pembelajaran sebagai implementasi dari materi pengabdian pada masyarakat. Hasil dari program peltihan ini, 1) Guru mempunyai wawasan dan pemahaman tentang penggunaan Multimedia Interaktif dalam proses pembelajaran. 2) Guru mampu membuat perangkat pembelajaran meliputi Rancangan pembelajaran, Bahan Ajar Lembar kerja peserta didik, Media pembelajaran dan evaluasi. 3) Guru mampu melaksanakan pembelajaran dengan menggunakan Multimedia interaktif dalam proses pembelajaran. 4) Guru mampu mendisain kelas dengan penerapan penggunaan Multimedia Interaktif berbasis Technological Pedagogical And Content Knowledge [TPACK].
This study aims to develop an English Language Electronic teaching material model for five class in elementary schools based on whole language approach. Using the whole language approach, overall language teaching an integral part of four language skills which include reading, speaking, listening and writing. Whole language approach based on the understanding constructivism forms its own knowledge through an active role in learning as a whole or thoroughly and integrated in language skills. This research was conducted at the elementary school in Jakarta. The approach of this research is mixed methods research. The type of research used development by research. There are several stages of the mechanism for planning and compiling an English language teaching material model based on a whole language approach. In this study adapted from the model of Borg and Gall of Dick, Carey and Care. There are four stages in this research, (1) the stage of information gathering which includes a preliminary study and needs analysis, (2) the development of the draft which includes planning and developing the initial form the product, which includes expert testing / validation (expert judgment), one-on-one testing, small group evaluation, field testing, where in each trial a revision of the product developed is possible, and the last (4) finalization stage. The results of this study English language electronic teaching material models for the fifthgrade elementary school based on the Whole language approach can be used properly and correctly in accordance with the needs of elementary school students.

The use of social media is massively increased, but it has not been accompanied by the awareness of proper and polite language. As reported by the Tempo National Page, there were 476 complaints of hate speech on social media that were submitted to the Cyber Crimes of the Criminal Investigation Agency of the Police from February 23 to May 11, 2021. This hate speech is a portrait of the lack of awareness of social media users to speak politely and the lack of awareness not to neglect the rights and honours of others. Language impoliteness on social media has destructive power, not only its spread is very fast, but it even has the potential to threaten the integrity of the nation. Therefore, this paper aims to map impolite words on social media status through the use of a digital corpus. By using qualitative descriptive research methods, it was found that there are two categories of impolite forms commonly used by netizens: first, negative connotations, 153 lexemes and second, potentially impolite neutral connotations, 26 lexemes. This form mapping can be used as a trigger so that social media users are aware of sorting, choosing, and using diction correctly.
