Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan media komik berbasis pendidikan karakter, mengetahui kelayakan media komik berbasis karakter, dan mengetahui keefektifan media komik berbasis karakter terhadap pengembangan karakter siswa kelas IV SD. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pengembangan, yang terdiri dari: (1) penelitian dan pengumpulan data, (2) perencanaan, (3) pengembangan draft produk, (4) validasi ahli, (5) revisi berdasarkan ahli, (6) uji coba terbatas, (7) penyempurnaan produk hasil uji coba terbatas, (8) uji coba lapangan, (9) penyempurnaan produk akhir, dan (10) diseminasi produk. Subjek coba pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas IV SDN Pangen Gudang Purworejo yang berjumlah 35 siswa dengan rincian: 6 siswa untuk uji coba terbatas dan 29 siswa untuk uji coba lapangan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) telah dihasilkan media komik berbasis pendidikan karakter pada pembelajaran tematik-integratif, (2) media komik yang dikembangkan ditinjau dari variabel kualitas aspek media dan aspek materi menurut ahli, menurut guru, dan hasil respon siswa berkategori sangat baik, (3) pembelajaran dengan media komik yang dikembangkan efektif meningkatkan nilai karakter siswa. Peningkatan karakter disiplin siswa masuk dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai gain score sebesar 0,62 dan peningkatan karakter tanggung jawab siswa masuk dalam kategori sedang dengan nilai gain score sebesar 0,66. ________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ DEVELOPING CHARACTER-BASED EDUCATION COMIC MEDIA ON INTEGRATIF-THEMATIC LEARNING FOR FOURTH GRADE ABSTRACT The objectives of this research are to produce character-based education comic media, determine the feasibility of character-based education comic media, and determine the effectiveness of character-based education comic media to character development of fourth grade students of SD. This research is a development, which consists of: (1) research and data collection, (2) planning , (3) development of a draft product, (4) validation of experts, (5) revisions based on expert, (6) limited testing, (7) improvement of product test results is limited, (8) the trial court, (9) the improvement of the final product, and (10) product dissemination. The subject of the study is fourth grade students of SDN Pangen Gudang Purworejo. There are 35 students consiting of 6 students for preliminary field testing, and the 29 students for main field testing. The result of the study shows: (1) character-based education comic media on integrative-thematic learning has been produced, (2) the developed comic media in terms of media aspect and material aspect quality according to experts, teachers, and student’s responses are very good, (3) learning using comic media improves students’ character value effectively. The improvement of students’ discipline character is in medium category with 0.62 gain score and improvement of students’ responsibility character is in medium category with 0.66 gain score. This article is based on the low level of environmental cares among students and environmental education in schools is not implemented maximally. Schools as educational institutions become a strategic and effective place to realize students who care about the environment. In the Adiwiyata Program, the character of environmental care can be instilled in students through activities such as waste utilization and processing, flood prevention, Gertak Semut (Simultaneous Picking Movement), Simutlis (Ten Minutes for School Environment), clean Friday, healthy canteens and schools. participatory and sustainable by the school community.
Mathematics is a field of study that supports developmental science, knowledge and technology, but learning in the classroom is still monotonous and has not attracted the attention of students. So this study aims to develop and determine the quality of PALIAN teaching aids (Multiplication Board) based on Montessori. This study uses an R&D (Research and Development) approach with a development model by Borg and Gall with five stages, namely research and information gathering, planning, initial product development, initial field testing, and product revision. The subjects in this study were media experts, material experts, learning experts, teachers, and students. The quality of the PALIAN teaching aid (Multiplication Board) obtained from the validation results of media experts is 79.16 with the "Very Good" category. The material expert gave a score of 84.37 in the "Very Good" category. Learning experts gave a score of 82.82 with the category "Very Good". The teacher gave a score of 93.76 with the category "Very Good". And students gave a score of 90 with the category "Very Good". Overall, the assessment score given is in the "Very Good" category. These results indicate that the PALIAN teaching aid (Multiplication Board) has a positive impact in helping students understand multiplication material.
In elementary mathematics learning there is fractional number material. This material has a level of difficulty that is quite challenging in learning. The concept of fractions is taught as much as possible by using more realistic and contextual concepts and minimizing abstract teaching. In abstract mathematics learning, students need tools in the form of media and teaching materials that can clarify what will be conveyed by the teacher so that students understand and understand more quickly. This study aims to (1) develop a mathematics module on fractions for elementary school students; (2) determine the feasibility of the mathematics module on the developed fraction material. This study applies a design research type of development study. The stages carried out in the design research type of development study are: (1) Preliminary research, (2) Prototyping stage, (3) Summative evaluation, and (4) Systematic reflection and documentation. The instruments used in this study were a validation questionnaire by experts and a student response questionnaire. This research has resulted in a module developed in the form of a mathematics module on fractional number material for fifth grade elementary school students to improve students' mathematical literacy which refers to the 2013 revised 2018 curriculum. The feasibility of the developed module is very feasible with an average eligibility percentage of 93.6%. The practicality of the module used is very practical with an average practicality percentage of 94.34%.
