This article aims to improve the ability of teachers and students to make media maps arise and improve teacher understanding and ability in terms of understanding pedagogical aspects that can be seen from the process of designing a Learning Implementation Plan (LIP) especially in terms of choosing a model or learning method. This activity was held at SMAN 2 using training methods, question and answer, and practice. In accordance with the objectives of the implementation of the activity, it is expected that teachers and students have an increased ability in terms of mastery to make map media arise. Then the teacher can also improve the teacher's understanding/ability in terms of understanding pedagogical aspects that can be seen from the process of designing the LIP especially in terms of choosing a learning model. By carrying out training to improve teacher skills in developing learning media, Geography Teachers are expected to have sufficient competence in terms of designing and utilizing media so that quality learning is created.
West Pasaman Regency is one of the 50 largest disadvantaged regions in Indonesia. One indicator of disadvantaged areas is there are still many poor people in the area. The level of poverty in an area is estimated to be influenced by the poverty of the surrounding area. Relationships between these regions can be known by calculating spatial autocorrelation. This research aims to determine spatial autocorrelation in the poverty level in West Pasaman using the MoranIndex. The results of this study indicate thatthe poverty level in West Pasamanhave positive spatial autocorrelation, but the correlation is weak because the Moran Index value is close to 0, which is 0.0765.
Pemetaan ekosistem hutan mangrove selama ini banyak dilakukan secara terestrial dan belum banyak memanfaatkan teknologi penginderaan jauh. Kelemahan metode terestrial untuk pemetaan ekosistem hutan mangrove bila dibandingkan dengan memanfaatkan data penginderaan jauh adalah lebih baik dari segi waktu, biaya dan tenaga, sementara kelebihan secara terestrial adalah tingkat akurasi yang lebih tinggi.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sejauh mana data penginderaan jauh dapat dimanfaatkan dalam memetakan ekosistem hutan mangrove dan juga menghitung luasan dan persebarannya di wilayah administrasi Kota Padang Sumatra Barat. Uji akurasi dilakukan untuk proses reinterpretasi dan perbaikan, sehingga dapat diketahui tingkat akurasi dari citra LANDSAT 8 yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini.Komposit 563 dan 567 pada citra Landsat 8 dianggap dapat menonjolkan aspek perbedaan hutan mangrove dengan hutan non-mangrove, Pantulan spektrak ekosistem mangrove berbeda dengan vegetasi non-mangrove, sehingga secara visual dan digital cukup mudah membedakan antara vegetasi mangrove dan vegetasi non-mangrove. Hasil interpretasi citra Landsat 8 dan uji lapangan, diketahui ekosistem mangrove di wilayah Kota Padang hanya terdapat pada Kecamatan Bungus Teluk Kabung dan tidak tumbuh pada Kecamatan lain. Luas ekosistem mangrove seluas 84 Hektar.
