O estudo tem como objetivo analisar a magnitude da ocorrência e os perfis sociodemográfico, econômico e clínico de casos de hanseníase vinculados à redes de convívio domiciliar (RCD) com sobreposição da doença em municípios dos estados da Bahia, do Piauí e de Rondônia, Brasil, no período de 2001 a 2014. Trata-se de estudo transversal, com dados primários e secundários de casos novos de hanseníase, notificados no Sistema de Informação de Agravos de Notificação (SINAN) e residentes nos municípios. Foram realizadas a aplicação de instrumento padronizado aos casos novos e a revisão de dados em prontuários e na base do SINAN. De um total de 1.032 (29,6%) casos de hanseníase abordados, 538 (52,1%) tinham mais de um caso em sua RCD. Maior frequência de pessoas do sexo feminino (292; 54,3%), com idade entre 41 a 60 anos (240; 44,6%), ensino fundamental (272; 50,6%), renda menor que um salário mínimo (265; 49,3%) e residindo com cinco pessoas ou mais (265; 49,3%). A ocorrência de sobreposição de casos na RCD foi associada, na análise multivariada, a residir em municípios do Estado de Rondônia (RP = 1,23; IC95%: 1,07-1,43; p = 0,003), assim como morar com três a quatro pessoas no mesmo domicílio (RP = 1,66; IC95%: 1,11-2,49; p = 0,014) e ter reação hansênica (RP = 1,31; IC95%: 0,99-1,70; p = 0,050). A repetição de casos de hanseníase em uma mesma RCD representa um evento frequente nos cenários abordados. Sua ocorrência deve ser considerada como indicador sentinela de maior gravidade epidemiológica para a vigilância na rede de atenção básica à saúde. Ressalta-se o caráter de vulnerabilidade das famílias acometidas.

To verify body composition or body weight distribution in a more traditional way, isolated body weight or height adjusted weight has been used. In the last 5 years, evaluations have been used to verify the distribution of this fat, where these measures are more preventive to health.The objective of the study was to analyze the studies that indicate the use of BMI and waist circumference as a tool to diagnose obesity. The current study is a systematic review, where it followed the criteria of a systematized review and meta-analysis proposed by the PRISMA protocol. The criteria adopted for the selection of articles were the use of the following variables for obesity: BMI, Circumference of abdomen, relation of C.A with stature and C.A and body weight. After consulting the databases selected to search for articles, 1,846 articles were identified on the topic of interest with the descriptors (obesity in schoolchildren). 410 articles were found on the Scielo platform, 150 articles were found on the Bireme platform. In the Pubmed platform 1,236 articles and finally in the Scopus platform a total of 50 articles. After the exclusion, 16 articles were used for the analysis. The majority of the studies in the area of collective health are concluded, but only the BMI isolated for the diagnosis are indicated as evaluation measures. More recent studies indicate an evolution in the way of evaluating. As can be seen in the sixteen articles analyzed.

Obesity in school-aged children has reached epidemic levels, which is considered a chronic disease. Researchers have been on alert, given the rising prevalence of obesity in the last few decades. The objective of this study is to evaluate the relation between body weight and abdominal circumference as a predictor for nutritional status in school students from 7 to 12 years of age in the municipality of Cacoal, RO, Brazil. The current study is of a descriptive nature, with cross-sectional and quantitative analysis. The study sample had 482 school students, of both genders, 230 male ones and 252 female ones, divided into school students from the urban and teaching rural teaching areas. Body Mass Index (BMI), abdominal circumference, and body weight were the variants analyzed. Reading with general comprehension strategies. It was possible to notice that 13% of the school students from the rural area were obese. On the other hand, 25% of the school students from the urban area, including both genders, were obese. There was a significant relation in body weight variant versus abdominal circumference in both genders, in the two areas studied. The body weight variant showed a significant relation with abdominal circumference and with body weight index in both genders.

The Calmette-Guérin Bacillus (BCG) vaccine is used against severe forms of tuberculosis. Although BCG post vaccination adverse events (EAPV) are uncommon, when identified they should be reported. The objective was to characterize the EAPV to BCG in the Municipality of Cacoal / RO from 2016-2018. This is a documentary, cross-sectional and descriptive study of quantitative approach, conducted with secondary data obtained from the reporting / investigation forms of AEFI to BCG, in the period 2016-2018 of individuals residing in Cacoal / RO. The population consisted of 13 notification forms, and they were part of sample 11, since 02 met the exclusion criteria. Data were collected through a collection instrument prepared by the researchers and the project was executed after authorization by the Municipal Secretary of Health and CEP under CAAE No. 2556919.0.0000.5298. During the study period, 4,677 individuals were vaccinated with BCG, data collected through the SI-PNI. Of the 11 AEFIs reported, 7 were male and 4 female. The AEFIs identified with the respective proportion of cases in the study population were: cold subcutaneous abscess (2.67: 2.500), non-suppurative regional lymphadenopathy (1.6: 2.500), warm subcutaneous abscess (1.07: 2.500) and lymphadenopathy. regional suppuration (0.5: 2,500). Among the 11 cases studied, 04 did not follow the AEFI management protocol. It was concluded that VAPA to BCG predominated in males, in children younger than 1 year old and that cold subcutaneous abscess, non-suppurative regional lymphadenopathy and warm subcutaneous abscess are above the standard recommended by NIBP.
