The study aims to examine the influence of job satisfaction on public senior high school principals' normative commitment. A quantitative approach with a descriptive survey was adopted. The data were collected through questionnaires. A simple random sampling technique was employed. Ninety principals in the Jakarta Capital City region were involved as participants in the research. The data obtained were analyzed using correlation and path analysis. The result showed that job satisfaction has a direct positive influence on the principals' normative commitment. Additionally, the research signified that job satisfaction's extrinsic factors are more dominating than intrinsic factors. While the indicator too, has the most impact on the principals' normative commitment is a conviction to stay in the organization. Education authorities and policymakers are urged to promote the realization of factors influencing satisfaction to enhance principals' commitment and performance.
The objective of this research is aimed at obtaining the information that related to the effects of leadership, trust and the organizational commitment, of the teacher of junior high school in Pasar Minggu District, South of Jakarta. The method used ia a survey by structured interview with a sample of 22 school counselors of junior high school in Pasar Minggu District, South of Jakarta. The data collected were processed by path analysis. The result proved that the trust was directly affected by leadership. There are direct effects of the leadership on organizational commitment and there are direct effects of the trust on organizational commitment. However, there is an indirect effect of leadership on organizational commitment through trust. The result can be concluded that two factors should be considered in the improvement of the organizational commitment.Keywords: 1 Leadership, Organization Commitment, Trust. The main purpose of this study is to examine the effect of personality dimensions on principal's normative commitment of state senior high school in DKI Jakarta. The method adopted descriptive survey research design through questionnaire data. The sample consisted of 90 principals from 116 populations using simple random sampling technique. In this study, the relationships among the variables were evaluated using correlation and regression analysis. The result shows that overall of personality dimensions have a significant influence and positive effect on principal's normative commitment performance. On the other hand, personality dimensions can support principals emotional to stay in an organization as the pressure of norms and moralities. Thus, it is recommended that principals should be more openness with the right personality dimensions performance.
Normative commitment is needed to prevent a decline in the quality of education. The principal has an important role, providing an example for teachers to increase normative commitment to advance the quality of education. This study aims to examine the influence of personality dimensions, job satisfaction and work motivation on the normative commitment of the principals of the State Vocational School in DKI Jakarta. The technique of data collection in this research is a questionnaire method, which is a distributed question to 63 civil servant teachers samples, including teachers who received additional duties as principals of state vocational high schools in DKI Jakarta. It was a population of 75 teachers. The sample of this study was selected using the Slovin formula and taken randomly simple. Variables in this study were evaluated using correlation and regression analysis. The results show personality had a direct positive influence on normative commitment, job satisfaction and work motivation had too. Furthermore, personality and job satisfaction have a direct positive influence on work motivation, as well as personality has a direct influence on job satisfaction. Therefore, personality, job satisfaction, and work motivation are required to enhance the principals 'obligation in a schools' organization.
The model of Motivation Book (MOTIBOO) is a literature that focused on the employee motivation, which developed by Borg and Gall, (1983).The purpose of this study is to give more contribution on the field of knowledge of motivation, and gain the practical experience on the employee motivation.This study employeed the methodology that used by Borg and Gall to analysed the motivation. It consisted of four stages : 1) pre research; 2) planning; 3) development, field analysis, model test review and; 4) post research. I picked this model, as the objective of study which analysed the motivation of IBI employees. Closely relates to the method of Borg and Gall, it also gave more flexible measurement to observe the employee attitude to perform their works.This analys resulted the data that MOTIBOO can be used as an alternative method in order to improve the employee motivation in IBI, and it can increase the employee performance.
