This research is conducted based on present less of different motif which contains characteristics of Gorontalo locality. This research aim to investigate the process of engineering and learning the application of traditional Gorontalo motif designs. The study uses a qualitative method. Research finding reveals that the craftsmen can apply karawo motif for woman's blouse, then for a shirtand jilbab. The learning process run in several stages namely; 1) Preparation stage which is preparing design of karawo motif and tools (cutter, scissor, needle, pamedangan (certain place for weaving certain fabric), centimeter and cotton as well as string); 2) learning stage which is a) preliminary activity that encompasses greeting and delivering learning goals as well as checking attendance of the craftsman, b) main activity that encompasses distributing design of karawo motif, determining motif position on the fabric, doing cut-take off the string, weaving process of karawoand finishing as the last stage. The finishing process is done by merawang, and c) closing activity. 3) Evaluation. In conclusion, the craftsmen are able to apply karawo motif well and based on the process stages.
The immune system of children are weaker than adults. They are susceptible to diseases. One of the diseases that often affects them is respiratory disease. Expert systems can be used to determine early diagnosis of it. Certainty Factor allows the user to measure the certainty’s degree of the diagnosis. It is also affecting the level of trust. It is easy for users to make decisions in determining the healing step. Symptoms of the disease are analysed and managed into the knowledge base of the expert system. The result of disease diagnosis is appeared in the form of disease data. The result data are accompanied by certainty value or percentage of confidence that obtained by certainty factor method applied.
Processing industry contribution in each commodity can add value for forward linkages and backward linkages. The economic condition of Gorontalo province is as follow: contribution of regional GDP in education service is 9%, financial and insurance services’ contribution is 8%, and agricultural sector’s contribution is 4%. This shows an economic growth anomaly, where the agricultural sector as a leading sector has yet significantly contributed toward the gross regional domestic product of Gorontalo province. Our gross regional domestic product per capita is only IDR. 9,544,583 with 17.30% of poor population workforce productivity are in the 30th rank. Maize is a commodity potential to be developed into various derivative products with high economic value. This is study expected to contribute to the local government in increasing the competitive advantages and economic motor for the community in the region, as well as contribute to the private sector in developing various derivative products from maize commodity. This study uses quantitative descriptive method which constitute of desk study and secondary data analysis, workshop, and meeting with related stakeholders, development of study design for value chain actors, presentation, and result discussion to formulate the master plan and development model for various maize commodity products.
The purpose of this study was: 1) Knowing the perception of small and medium enterprises industry players in Gorontalo Province. 2) Analyzing the Effect of perception or interest in the development of products cornflakes in Gorontalo Province. The research was conducted in two (2) District of Gorontalo and Pohuwato. The study begins from April to June 2019 with a sample of 54 people. The results showed those perceptions or interest through institutional aspects IKM / Industrial RT, the introduction and training of IKM / Industrial RT, and the capacity of SMEs / Industrial RT towards the development of chips and corn waste products on the recapitulation are in both categories with a percentage value 80 percent. Based on calculations that have been done by using multiple linear regression analysis was obtained that perception or interest simultaneously significant effect on the increase in the development of chips and corn waste products in Gorontalo Province. While partially the positive and significant impact that institutional IKM / Industrial RT, the introduction and training of IKM / Industrial RT and the capacity of SMEs / Industrial RT towards the development of chips and corn waste products in Gorontalo Province.
