A novel kind of hyamine-containing crosslinked β-cyclodextrin resin (β-CD-DEAE) was synthesized. 2-Diethylaminoethyl group (DEAE) was introduced on β-cyclodextrin by the reaction of 2-diethylaminoethyl chloride hydrochloride with β-cyclodextrin under basic condition and then the crosslinked resin was formed by the crosslink reaction using epichlorohydrin. The quaternary ammonium group was produced by the quaterisation of DEAE using epichlorohydrin. The new crosslinked cyclodextrin resin was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, Kjeldahl method and infrared spectroscopy. The content of nitrogen approaches approximately 5.55%. Meanwhile, the phenol adsorption property for wastewater treatment has been determined. It was found that the hyamine-containing crosslinked β-CD has a strong capability of phenol adsorption. Under the optimal pH of 9, the adsorbent dosage was 30mg/ml. If the initial phenol concentration was 100mg/l, the maximum phenol adsorption efficiency was 84.42%. In addition, the effective recycling efficiency of the new crosslinked β-CD resin was almost 100%.
As some prevalent wired networks in industrial field are based on TCP, we proposed a novel integration infrastructure of token-based industrial WSN protocol and TCP, so as to make the application of wireless communication technologies more flexible. In the paper, a protocol conversion infrastructure is presented, which is based on data mapping mechanism. The protocol converter includes two modules: Wireless Industrial Control Network(WICN) master module and TCP host module. WICN master module owns an exclusive data buffer called WICN data buffer. TCP host module also has its own data buffer which is named TCP data buffer. A public data area is used for realizing the data mapping between WICN data buffer and TCP data buffer. By the data mapping mechanism, a station in wired network segment could get the data from WICN by accessing TCP data buffer, and WICN slave station could get the data from wired network via WICN data buffer. By the protocol conversion mechanism based on data mapping, flexible data exchange of heterogeneous networks could be realized.
A strain improvement program was developed to increase lipase production by Acinetobacter calcoaceticus D29, in which mutants were generated by Ultraviolet (UV) radiation and selected by resistance to 1.5% (w/v) sodium citrate. One of the mutant strains UN9 exhibited 48.69% more lipase activity than the original strain did. Although the UV random mutagenesis alone is an effective method for general strain improvement, our results showed that UV mutagenesis combined with selection for sodium citrate resistance is a more efficient strategy for screening mutant strains with enhanced lipase production.
