Abstract:Descriptive studies have explored the relationship between toothbrushing with miswak stick and development of periodontal/gingival recession, but relevant periodontal/gingival recession data for the multidirectional power Miswak are lacking. The aim of this study is to descriptive the effect of brushing with either a multidirectional Miswak or manual toothbrush defect or periodontal/gingival recession on anterior/labial surface of gum at miswak user of 30-60 years old.
Bu çalışma, görme engeli olan çocuklarda Dental Braille Eğitiminin (DBE) çocukların oral sağlık ve hijyen ile ilgili bilgi ve tutumlarına olan etkisini analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Gereç ve yöntem: Çalışmada pre-post test yönetemi kullanılmıştır. Çocuklar eğitim öncesi ve sonrası 21. günde değerlendirilmiştir. Sonuçlar: Bu çalışma, görme engelli 12 çocuğa uygulanmıştır. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre eğitim öncesi ve sonrası çocukların bilgi düzeyi (Z =-3217 ve p = 0.001, p> 0.05) ile tutumları (Z =-2724 ve p = 0.006, p> 0.05) arasında istatiksel olarak anlamlı fark bulunmamıştır. Tartışma: Görme engelli çocuklara Braille yöntemi ile verilen eğitim çocukların oral sağlık ve hijyen ile ilgili bilgi ve tutumları üzerinde anlamlı değişikliğe neden olmamıştır. Bu popülasyonda oral sağlık ve hijyen eğitiminin başarısını etkileyen faktörlerin incelendiği ileri çalışmaların planlanması önerilmektedir.
Background: Oral and dental diseases experienced by Indonesians is recurrent apthous stomatitis with a national prevalence of 8.0%. Stress can afflict children, adolescents, adults and the elderly even in a school environment, so stress can happen to anyone, anywhere. People who experience stress result in decreased concentration ability, deteriorating health, depression and sleep disorders and even dental and oral health problems, one of which is recurrent aphthous stomatitis. Objective: To determine the relationship between academic stress and the incidence of recurrent aphthous stomatitis. Methodology: this type of analytic observational study with cross sectional design. The research was conducted on students of the Department of Dental Health, Jakarta Health Polytechnic I. Collecting data using an observation sheet for the incidence of recurrent aphthous stomatitis and a questionnaire to determine the level of academic stress. Data analysis using Chi-Square. Results: it was found that academic stress on the incidence of recurrent aphthous stomatitis showed the p-value was 0.047 (p <0.05). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between academic stress and the incidence of recurrent aphthous stomatitis

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui adanya pengaruh sebelum dan sesudah berkumur dengan larutan jeruk nipis. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi experiment), dengan pendekatan yang dilakukan adalah dengan pendekatan pre test dan post test. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu Mahasiswa Jalur Umum Tingkat 1 Jurusan Kesehatan Gigi Politeknik Kementerian Kesehatan Tasikmalaya yang terdiri dari 40 orang sampel diambil dengan cara purposive samling dan yang memnuhi kriteria sebanyak 30 orang. 30 orang dibagi menjadi 3 kelompok perlakuan yaitu untuk kelompok I berkumur dengan konsentrasi 10%, untuk kelompok II berkumur dengan konsentrasi 30%, kelompok III berkumur dengan konsentrasi 50%. Analisis data dengan menggunakan standar pengujian uji Paired-Samples T Test. Hasil uji statistik didapat nilai 0,000 maka dapat disimpulkan ada perbedaan yang signifikan antara pH sebelum berkumur dan pH sesudah berkumur konsentrasi 10%; 30% dan 50%.
