A process is described for producing tungsten and molybdenum metal powder of 0.01-0.1~ average particle diameter by hydrogen reduction of the metal chlorides. Some of the physical and chemical properties of this material are discussed, together with data pointing to metallurgical uses of the product. A pilot study is described which outlines a procedure for evaluating the interests and abilities of elderly blind persons. Its use for better counseling and rehabilitation is also described. The procedure emphasizes the development of the client's socialization skills, motivation, and self-esteem, and his usefulness to society.
