Inhaltsiibersicht Oxide, Oxidchloride und Chloridhydrate des 4-und Ywertigen Vanadins werden dureh Thionylchlorid in VCI, uberfuhrt. h s VOC1, und SOCI, entsteht b d Annesenheit von Chloracceptoren (Benzol, Hyhazin) ehenfalls VC1,. VC1, und Diathplat,her bilden ein Di-atherat, das bei hiiherer Temperatur unter Atherspaltung zerfallt. Amriseneiilire und Essigsaure redu~ieren VOCI, unter Rildung von Vanadylforniiat bzw. -acetat. Summary Oxides, oxidechlorides and hydrated chlorides of tetravalent and trivalent vanadium are converted to VC!, by thionyl chloride. In the presence of chlorine acceptors (benzene, hydrazine), VOCl, and 5OC1, react yielding VCl, too, VCI, and diethj-l ether form a dietherate, which decomposes at higher temperature splitting off ether. Formic and acetic acid reduce VOCI, by formation of vanadyl formiate resp. acetate. Zur Darstellung masserfreier niletallchloride bewhhrt sich nach HECHT und Mitarbeiternl),) das Thionylchlorid. Mit ihni lassen sich einerseits Chloridhydrate durcli Kochen unter RiickfluB entwgssern, ohne zu hydrolysieren, und andererseits eine Reihe von Metalloxiden durch Erhitzen im EinschluBrohr chlorieren. I n beiden Fallen entstehen neben den Metallchloriden nur gasformige Reaktionsprodukte, nanilich SO, und HC1 bzw. SO, allein. Durch Umsetzung voii V,O, mit SOC1, erhalt man so VC1,; V,O, dagegen, das als einziges der von HECHT benutzten Oxide schon durch Kochen mit SOCI, auf dem Wasserbad chloriert wurde, lieferte das Oxidchlorid VOCI,.

Inhaltsübersicht. Es wird über Reaktionen von Vanadin(IV)‐chlorid mit Zinkdialkylen und Bortrialkylen berichtet. Dabei entstehen aus Vanadin(IV)‐chlorid und Zinkdialkylen Komplexe des Vanadin(III)‐chlorids, Vanadin(II)‐chlorids und von Alkylvanadindichloriden mit Zinkchlorid, Alkylzinkchloriden oder Zinkdialkylen. Bortrialkyle bewirken die Bildung von reaktivem Vanadin(III)‐chlorid, das in Komplexe mit Diäthyläther der Formel VCl3 · n O(C2H5)2 (n = 1–3) übergeführt werden konnte. Contributions to the Chemistry of Transition Metal Alkyl Compounds. XXI. Experiments for the Alkylation of Vanadium Tetrachloride and Vanadium Oxidetrichloride Abstract. It is reported on experiments for alkylating vanadium tetrachloride by means of zinc dialkyls and boron trialkyls. Zinc dialkyls causes the formation of complexes of vanadium tetrachloride, vanadium trichloride and alkyl vanadium dichlorides with zinc chloride, alkyl zinc chlorides and zinc dialkyls. In the reactions with boron trialkyls high reactive vanadium trichloride is formed, which reacts with diethyl ether to complexes with the formula VCl3 · n O(C2H5)2 (n = 1–3).

The products formed by the heating of VCl2O in an oxygen stream at various temperatures were examined by chemical and X-ray analysis. The reaction products between VCl3 and oxygen were examined in the same manner. The reaction process between VCl2O and oxygen may be represented as follows: VCl2O reacts with oxygen above ca. 170 °C to form V2O5 and VCl3O, 12VCl2O(s)+3O2(g)→2V2O5(s)+8VCl3O(g), and this reaction is accompanied by the reaction, 4VCl2O(s)+3O2(g)→2V2O5(s)+4Cl2(g). The reaction process between VCl3and oxygen may be represented as follows: VCl3 reacts with oxygen above ca. 100 °C to form VCl3O, 2VCl3(s)+O2(g)→2VCl3O(g), and this reaction is accompanied by the reaction, 2VCl3(s)+O2(g)→2VCl2O(s)+Cl2(g).
