Resumo Este artigo busca compreender as brincadeiras em sua endogenia (Mafeje, 1971, 1991). A partir das brincadeiras de queimada, do pique-esconde, do dominó com crianças que participam de ocupações do acampamento do Movimento dos Trabalhadores Sem-Terra, busco levar a sério os significados conceituais de café-com-leite, guardar caixão e licença. Argumento que a maneira de pensar as brincadeiras pode mudar perspectivas da disciplina antropológica. O artigo foi desenvolvido a partir de uma etnografia no acampamento Canaã (MST), localizado no Distrito Federal, e na ocupação que o movimento fez na Praça do Buriti para pressionar o governo Rollemberg (2015-2018) por políticas de reforma agrária.

A autora tece com delicadeza seu argumento no sentido de mostrar a imbricação entre vida e política em uma ocupação no centro de São Paulo. Ao fazer uma "etnografia de uma experiência", Paterniani vincula sua vivência na ocupação Mauá com as fabulações de pessoas que dormem, acordam, se reúnem, cuidam dos filhos e comem enquanto ocupam um prédio e reivindicam moradia, ou seja, ao mesmo tempo moram e vivem na luta.
Este artigo discute como se dá o cotidiano do trabalho de um antropólogo no parlamento. A partir de reflexões de tom etnográfico de experiências do trabalho na equipe técnica do Deputado Distrital Fábio Félix (PSOL – DF) na Câmara Legislativa do Distrito Federal, discuto o impacto da trajetória de formação em antropologia na feitura de documentos legislativos e na maneira de encarar o jogo político. As distintas maneiras de conceber relevância política, valorar os temas e contar histórias são discrepâncias que produzem estranhamentos no antropólogo que atuam no parlamento. Em síntese, no que pese as diferenças entre fazer etnografias e produzir leis, encarar o parlamento sem levar tão a sério a brincadeira é uma conciliação possível para seguir fazendo as duas coisas.
Resumo Este artigo faz um sobrevoo pela vida e obra de Sylvia Wynter, intelectual, artista e ativista jamaicana, para o público leitor de português, sobretudo no Brasil. Para isso, iniciamos o texto com elementos de contextualização histórica da Jamaica e do Caribe, com ênfase nos efeitos deletérios da plantation e do imperialismo na constituição da pessoa negra; seguem-se alguns apontamentos biográficos da autora; para, por fim, apresentar algumas de suas contribuições analíticas, políticas e teóricas, com ênfase em três aspectos. Primeiro, sua crítica ao equacionamento da humanidade com o conceito ocidental de Homem e a proliferação epistemológica e analítica do Homem. Segundo, seu chamado para a reconstituição epistêmica da universidade e o papel seminal dos Black studies nessa empreitada, bem como a crítica à pacificação dos Black studies quando incorporados como etno-história. Por fim, sua proposta de humanismo radical.
Neste artigo tratamos da monumentalização de Argonautas, a partir da disseminada e reiterada leitura de sua Introdução em disciplinas formativas no Brasil. Mediante conceitos como incompletude e brincadeira, encontramos, nas entrelinhas da obra, reflexões de Malinowski pouco ressaltadas sobre o trabalho escravizado ou forçado em Trobriand. Essa releitura nos permite tecer aproximações analíticas entre o empreendimento do autor e o de Cristóvão Colombo, a fim de problematizar a noção de Humanismo. Ao analisar passagens recônditas da obra, exploramos a centralidade da plantation nas ilhas Trobriand, com o fim de sugerir que o futuro de Argonautas reside na possibilidade de sua apropriação para além da exegese deste fragmento, a célebre Introdução, de fato pouco expressivo da obra.
