A colecistectomia é a cirurgia do aparelho digestivo mais prevalente no mundo. No Brasil, de 2015 a 2020 foram realizadas 1.167.754 colecistectomias. O objetivo do estudo é identificar a prevalência e fatores associados à mortalidade de pacientes submetidos a colecistectomia em um hospital público do Sul do Brasil no período de 2015 a 2020. Foram analisados todos os prontuários de pacientes submetidos a colecistectomia no Hospital Governador Celso Ramos (HGCR), entre janeiro de 2015 a dezembro de 2020, somando 988 prontuários. As características demográficas e clínicas mais comuns foram caracterizadas pelo sexo feminino, faixa etária acima de 50 anos, história prévia de Hipertensão arterial sistêmica, diabetes mellitus, doença cardiovascular e obesidade. Foram identificados 567 pacientes (63,0%) com comorbidades. Cerca de 853 (88,8%) realizaram CVL. A frequência de óbitos foi de 0,81% (8 casos). Conclui-se que o perfil de pacientes encontrados neste estudo requer acompanhamento multiprofissional para diagnóstico e tratamento precoce, como também, destaca-se a necessidade de uma capacitação e ampliação de acessibilidade adequada para o tratamento de calculose da vesícula biliar no âmbito hospitalar.
As doenças de vias biliares são de alta prevalência e o principal tratamento é a colecistectomia, por abordagem videolaparoscópica (VLP) ou laparotômica (CAB). No estado de Santa Catarina, entre 2009 e 2019 realizaram 82,661 colecistectomias, sendo 58,840 CAB (71%) e VLP 23,821 (29%). Esta pesquisa trata-se de um estudo ecológico de séries temporais de mortalidade em Santa Catarina. Foram coletados dados do Sistema de Informações Hospitalares (SIH-SUS), da população catarinense, disponibilizado como domínio público, pelo Departamento de Informática do Sistema Único de Saúde (DATASUS). Segundo dados do DATASUS o número total de óbitos após a realização de colecistectomia entre 2009 a 2019 em SC foi de 377, dos quais 324 por CAB (86%) e 53 após VLP (14 %). Conclui-se que a mortalidade pós colecistectomia é de baixa incidência, destacando-se uma discrepância entre os números por CAB e CVL, isto por fatores, como alto escore ASA, idade elevada, admissão em quadro agudo, presença de comorbidades e complicações pós-operatórias.
A obesidade é o excesso de gordura corporal, a qual está associada ao risco de desenvolver doenças crônicas, como o diabete melitos tipo II (DMII), doenças cardiovasculares, dislipidemias, entre outras. No Brasil, 50% da população adulta e 15% das crianças estão acima do peso. A cirurgia bariátrica é um tratamento eficaz para a obesidade grave (IMC>40), gerando acentuada perda de peso, sustentada a longo prazo. As duas cirurgias bariátricas mais comumente realizadas no mundo são o By-pass gástrico em Y de Roux (BP) e a Gastrectomia Vertical ou Sleeve gástrico (SV). No Brasil, BP ainda se mantém como a cirurgia mais comum. Entre 2013 e 2018 foram realizadas 1.629 SV e 43.211 BP. O objetivo do estudo é comparar o uso do SV em relação ao BP no tratamento de obesidade grave em SC entre 2015 e 2021. Trata-se de um estudo ecológico, para o qual os dados sobre procedimentos aprovados do SUS de SC foram coletados do Sistema de Informações Hospitalares (SIH-SUS) encontrado no DATASUS. Foram realizados 1850 procedimentos em SC, sendo destes 113 por SV e 1737 por BP. Conclui-se, ao avaliar as taxas de regressão linear da tendência de do uso de BP e SV em SC entre 2015 e 2021 a presença de redução com uso de BP e de estabilidade com a utilização do SV, assim como um comportamento de estabilidade em relação as taxas de regressão linear da média de tempo de permanência hospitalar por SV e BP em Santa Catarina.
A colecistite aguda calculosa é uma das doenças mais frequentes nas emergências. Anualmente, cerca de 500.000 colecistectomias são realizadas nos EUA. A relação mulher versus homem é de 4:1 na idade reprodutiva e se iguala com o envelhecimento. Os cálculos biliares podem obstruir o ducto cístico, o que pode causar distensão da vesícula biliar e cólica biliar. A obstrução prolongada resulta em inflamação, infecção e até isquemia, uma condição comum conhecida como Colecistite aguda (AC). O objetivo do estudo é identificar a prevalência de mortalidade por colecistite aguda no estado de Santa Catarina entre 2015 e 2021. Trata-se de um estudo ecológico de séries temporais de mortalidade em Santa Catarina. Serão coletados dados do Sistema de Informações Hospitalares (SIH-SUS), da população catarinense e nacional, disponibilizado pelo DATASUS. Foram identificados 14,279 óbitos no Brasil, sendo que deste 716 (5,01%) foram do estado de SC. Conclui-se ao avaliar as taxas de regressão linear que o Brasil apresenta um predomínio de estabilidade e o estado de Santa Catarina demonstra perfil de estabilidade em relação a todas as raças e um comportamento de aumento na região do Grande Oeste. Consoante a isto, ao analisar a variável idade se nota que o estado de SC apresenta aumento nas taxas de regressão linear na FE 40 a 49 anos, apesar do Brasil demonstrar estabilidade em relação a variável faixa etária.
