Objective to report the process of developing an online focus group as a data collection technique in qualitative research. Method this is an experience report on the development of an online focus group for data collection with teaching nurses linked to the supervised internship of Primary Health Care at a public university in the interior of Ceará, carried out in March 2020. Results the planning phases of the synchronous online focus group were: (1) structuring of the approach; (2) construction of the guide instrument; (3) group composition; and, (4) development of the group process. This provided accessibility, participant adherence, cost reduction, less participant abstention and speed to collect, record and analyze data. A satisfactory result was obtained, standing out as a concrete possibility of data collection technique in qualitative research. Conclusion and implications for practice the data collection strategy through the online focus group can contribute to the construction of knowledge in the health sector and nursing to carry out qualitative research.
Este estudo teve como objetivo identificar cuidados podiátricos realizados na assistência às pessoas idosas com diabtes mellitus para prevenção de ulcerações. Trata-se de revisão integrativa realizada nas bases de dados MEDLINE, CINAHL, Science Direct, Web of Science, SCOPUS, IBECS e LILACS. Identificou-se 1.572 artigos inicialmente, os quais foram submetidos aos critérios de elegibilidade da pesquisa, resultando em amostra final de três artigos. Evidenciou-se como principais cuidados podiátricos empreendidos em idosos com diabetes: corte adequado das unhas realizado por profissional; manejo da dor e deformidades; prescrição de calçados; tratamento de onicomicoses com laser; inspeção dos pés; avaliação de pulsos podais e teste de sensibilidade protetora com monofilamento de 10g, sensibilidade vibratória com o diapasão 128 Hz, sensibilidade dolorosa, reflexo aquileu e limiar de percepção de vibração. Grande parte dos cuidados já é recomendado por diretrizes nacionais e internacionais sobre o assunto, enfatizando-se a ausência de outros cuidados realizados na prática clínica. Conclui-se, que é necessário avançar na discussão dos cuidados podiátricos em idosos com diabetes na perspectiva de produção de mais estudos sobre a temática de boa qualidade metodológica para esclarecimento e embasamento teórico das práticas em podiatria clínica que contribuam para redução da morbimortalidade associada ao pé diabético.
Por volta do ano de 1999, através do Relatório “Errar é humano”, publicado nos Estados Unidos, surgiu e se desenvolveu a preocupação com o que chamamos de Segurança do Paciente. Faz-se mister, portanto, desenvolver ações enérgicas e atitudes contundentes no sentido de sensibilizar os discentes a serem agentes difusores de práticas embasadas na busca de máxima segurança nos ambientes de ensino-aprendizagem, da saúde básica até o mais alto nível de assistência em saúde. Envolta nesse contexto, a Universidade Regional do Cariri, através do Curso de Graduação em Enfermagem, da Unidade Descentralizada de Iguatu, desenvolveu o Projeto de Extensão “Educação para o Cuidado Seguro”, uma iniciativa pioneira e diferenciada, que tem suas estratégias devidamente explicitadas e detalhadas, uma a uma, em cada capítulo, servindo, mormente, de inspiração para que seja cada vez mais frequente a prática em saúde livre de danos.
