Resumo: O presente trabalho tem por obje vo apresentar aspectos da educação relacionados com a instrução dos gen os e a educação dos órfãos de posse no Brasil Colonial (1549-1759). A metodologia aqui u lizada confi gura-se como histórica e bibliográfi ca, com abordagem qualita va. Foram u lizadas na pesquisa produções de Casimiro, Chambouleyron, Santos e Saviani. Abstract: The present work aims to present aspects of educa on related to the instruc on of the Gen les and the educa on of the orphans of possession in the Colonial Brazil (1549-1759).
