RESUMO:Estudo descritivo, qualitativo, realizado em hospital público de nível secundário em Fortaleza -Ceará, com 14 puérperas, com o objetivo de analisar sua percepção acerca da presença/participação do acompanhante durante o trabalho de parto e o parto. A coleta de dados aconteceu entre agosto e setembro de 2009, por meio de entrevista semiestruturada gravada e as falas foram organizadas e analisadas com base na análise de conteúdo. As atividades desempenhadas pelos acompanhantes foram conversar, proporcionar apoio e segurança e explicar eventos desconhecidos. A importância da participação do acompanhante se centrou na minimização dos sentimentos de solidão que se somavam às dores das parturientes. Verificou-se o valor atribuído à escolha de pessoas conhecidas, com destaque para as mães. Concluiu-se que o cuidado proporcionado pelos acompanhantes se mostrou imprescindível para garantir conforto e bem-estar às mulheres no momento da parturição. Data were collected between August and September 2009, via recorded semi-structured interviews, and the exchanges were organized and analyzed based on their contents. Activities carried out by companions were conversing, providing support and security, and explaining unfamiliar events. The importance of the companion's participation lay in the minimization of feelings of loneliness which added to the pain the mothers-to-be were going through. The value of choosing acquaintances was noted, with most women choosing their mothers. It was concluded that the care provided by the companions showed itself to be invaluable in providing comfort and well-being to the women during childbirth. RESUMOObjetivou-se, neste estudo, averiguar os aspectos contemplados na consulta de enfermagem ao portador de hipertensão arterial (HA). É um estudo descritivo, desenvolvido em três unidades de saúde de Fortaleza. Os sujeitos foram 13 enfermeiros. A coleta de dados ocorreu por observação de três consultas de cada enfermeiro e, posteriormente, de uma entrevista com este profissional. Foi observado que, durante a anamnese, houve identificação do tratamento prévio, da ingestão de substâncias hipertensoras e da existência de fatores de risco associados. No exame físico, constatou-se a ocorrência de inspeções da aparência do paciente e verificações da pressão arterial e peso. As categorias identificadas foram: nuances do papel do enfermeiro na atenção básica; tratamento da HA e dificuldades cotidianas das pessoas com esta enfermidade. Concluímos que muitos aspectos não vêm sendo abordados durante a consulta de enfermagem, o que pode acarretar um atendimento deficiente das pessoas acompanhadas pelo programa de HA em tais unidades de saúde. DESCRITORES Hipertensão.Cuidados de enfermagem. Programa Saúde da Família. ABSTRACTThe objective was to observe the aspects of nursing consultation undergone by hypertensive patients. This is a descriptive study, developed in three healthcare centers in the city of Fortaleza. The subjects were 13 nurses, and data collection comprised the observation of three of each nurse's consultation , followed by an interview with this professional. It was observed that, during the anamnesis, the previous treatment, the ingestion of hypertensive substances and the existence of associated risk factors were identified. Inspections of the patient's appearance, blood pressure and weight were also evident. The identified categories were: aspects of the nurse's role in basic healthcare; treatment of hypertension and day-to-day difficulties of people with this disease. We conclude that many aspects are not being approached during the nursing consultation , which can result in a low-quality healthcare service provided for people cared for the hypertension program in these basic healthcare centers. ABSTRACT Objectives: to assess the usability of an app prototype for diabetic foot self-care by an end user. Methods: a descriptive study that uses heuristic assessment of a hybrid app usability. Fifteen users of an outpatient diabetes care service in a capital of Northeastern Brazil participated in the study during April 2018. The usability measurement tool called Smartphone Usability questionnaiRE was applied. Results: the lowest score was 77 and the highest was 112, with an average usability of 96.1 points. Usability was framed in the last two levels, 70 and 8o. Users now strongly agree (level 70) and fully (level 80) with the assessed items, which represents good usability of the apps prototype. Conclusions: the final product developed focuses on user needs and requirements, which can ensure usability based on effectiveness, efficiency and satisfaction triad.

Objective: To compare the self-care performed by hypertensive patients monitored in primary and secondary health care. Methods: Cross-sectional study with 189 patients with arterial hypertension in a Basic Health Unit and in an integrated center for diabetes and hypertension in Fortaleza, from March to June, and from September to November of 2013. An interview with a guide based on Orem's self care theory was conducted. For statistical analysis, percentage and chi square test distributions were used. Results: Adequate fluid intake (77.6%), attending nurse consultation (88.0%), and changes in lifestyle (54.3%) had better results with patients monitored in primary care. Appropriate salt consumption (100.0%) and abstinence from alcoholic beverages (88.7%) were more common in patients monitored in secondary care. Conclusion: Hypertensive patients from both primary and secondary care showed a self-care demand, without significant differences.

Objetivo: apreender, na perspectiva de pessoas com diabetes tipo 2, como se dá a convivência com a doença. Método: estudo descritivo de natureza qualitativa em que foram realizadas 12 oficinas com a participação de 26 pessoas. Todos os encontros foram gravados, transcritos e após submetidos a análise de conteúdo. Resultados: emergiram duas unidades temáticas: Diagnóstico ou sentença? Reconhecendo dificuldades ocultas no viver com diabetes, na qual percebeu-se que a doença, por vezes, é associada a sentimentos negativos, tais como o medo da morte, e; Vivenciando o controle da doença e a mudança de hábitos, que revela dificuldades envolvidas na convivência com a doença, especialmente, quanto a necessidade de mudanças alimentares. Conclusão: as dificuldades no conviver com o diabetes estão relacionadas à forma como o indivíduo percebe a doença em sua vida, ao seu enfrentamento e, de modo geral, prejudicam seu controle e prevenção de complicações.ABSTRACTObjective: to learn, from the perspective of a person with type 2 diabetes, what it is like to live with the disease. Conclusión: las dificultades en convivir con la diabetes están relacionadas con la forma cómo el individuo percibe la enfermedad en su vida, su enfrentamiento y, en general, perjudica su control y prevención de complicaciones.

Objective: to describe the process of validating a multimedia application on a mobile platform to promote foot care for people with diabetes. Method: a technological production and methodological type study. Content and appearance were validated by 39 judges (29 nursing judges and ten information and communication technology judges and 15 people from the target audience). Results: nursing judges made it possible to validate the material with a total Content Validity Index of 0.95, a non-significant binomial test for most items and Cronbach’s alpha of 0.92, information and communication technology judges with Suitability Assessment of Materials of 99.2% and the target audience with an agreement index of 98%. Conclusion: the application proved to be valid and reliable for use in clinical practice as an educational technology to promote foot care for people with diabetes.

Dessa forma, cada mulher deve receber atendimento diferenciado. Objetivou-se conhecer a percepção de puérperas acerca da vivência do trabalho de parto e parto. Estudo exploratório e descritivo, qualitativo, realizado em hospital público de nível secundário de Fortaleza -Ceará, com catorze puérperas que se encontravam em Alojamento Conjunto. Os dados foram coletados em agosto e setembro de 2009, por meio de entrevista semiestruturada. Os depoimentos foram organizados segundo a técnica de Análise de Conteúdo. As descrições do trabalho de parto e parto enfatizaram alívio pela superação da dor e felicidade em poder ter o filho nos braços, porém a sensação de dor foi apresentada como critério para classificar o momento como negativo, apesar de necessária ao nascimento. Conclui-se que a vivência do trabalho de parto deve ser levada em consideração, pois traz repercussões à participação da mulher na parturição. This research aimed at learning about the perception of mothers regarding their experience of labor and delivery. This exploratory descriptive and qualitative study was performed in a public secondary-level hospital in Fortaleza -Ceará, with fourteen mothers who were in the Rooming-in. Data were collected in August and September 2009, through interviews. The statements were organized according to the Content Analysis technique. The descriptions of labor and delivery have emphasized the overcoming of pain relief and happiness in being able to have the child in her arms, but the sensation of pain was presented as a criterion to classify the moment as negative, although necessary at birth. It is concluded that the experience of labor should be taken into consideration, as it brings impact to the participation of women in childbirth.
