Objective: identify the knowledge and care practices concerning urinary incontinence in elderly women and develop a care proposal for these women for the purpose of health promotion in Primary Health Care. Method: a qualitative, convergent care research was undertaken. The data were collected between August and October 2014 through semistructured interviews and thematic workshops with 14 physiotherapists and ten nurses. The analysis involved apprehension, synthesis, theorization and transference processes, revealing two thematic axes: the professionals' perception of urinary incontinence in elderly women; and the conception of a care proposal for elderly women with urinary incontinence. Results: the professionals' limited knowledge of urinary incontinence was verified, as well as the lack of information on the possible orientations for self-care concerning the urinary symptoms. Conclusion: training actions should be implemented for these professionals with a view to health promotion for self-care.

Resumo: Introdução: As Diretrizes Brasileiras de Atenção à Saúde da Pessoa Amputada preconizam protocolos de assistências pré-cirúrgicas até pós-protetização. Objetivo: Contextualizar serviços e protocolos hospitalares pré-e pós-amputação, e avaliar o processo de encaminhamento da pessoa amputada para a reabilitação e protetização pelo Sistema Único de Saúde (SUS), seguido da pós-alta hospitalar. Método: Pesquisa qualitativa descritiva, realizada com 23 profissionais, inclusive médicos, fisioterapeutas, nutricionistas, enfermeiro e técnicos de enfermagem, realizada por meio de uma entrevista semiestruturada. A coleta de dados foi realizada nos meses de junho e julho de 2015, e entre abril e maio de 2016. Resultados: Os procedimentos da fase pré-cirúrgica estiveram relacionados ao termo de consentimento, avaliação do membro a ser amputado e orientações a seguir. A realização da cirurgia e a eleição do nível da amputação dependem do nível da lesão vascular, do trauma ou em outros casos da infecção. No pós-cirúrgico, avaliou-se no coto alguns sinais e/ou sintomas: curativo, presença de espículas ósseas, processo de cicatrização, dor fantasma e mobilidade. O termo curativo e atadura foram citados como sinônimo de enfaixamento do coto. Com relação às orientações no ambiente hospitalar e para alta foram indicados alguns protocolos, tais como: cuidados com o coto, enfaixamento compressivo com faixa elástica, posicionamento e encaminhamentos para a reabilitação. Os serviços e protocolos hospitalares seguem as Diretrizes Brasileiras, porém condutas como avaliação e tratamento da dor no coto e da dor fantasma, e também o enfaixamento compressivo devem ser incentivadas e praticadas. Incertezas relatadas pelos profissionais foram relativas ao encaminhamento à reabilitação pré-e pós-protetização. Conclusão: Os resultados deste estudo repercutem diretamente na pessoa amputada, pois o recebimento de direcionamentos precisos facilita o processo de reabilitação de forma mais rápida e eficaz.

OBJETIVOS: verificar os efeitos de técnicas de fisioterapia respiratória (TFR) na dor e na função cardiorrespiratória de recém-nascidos (RN) clinicamente estáveis com prescrição de TFR, internados em unidade de terapia intensiva neonatal. MÉTODOS: ensaio clínico randomizado cego. Os RN foram alocados em três grupos: G1-controle; G2- fisioterapia convencional; G3-reequilíbrio tóracoabdominal. Neonatos do G2 e G3 receberam intervenção em atendimento único. Todos foram avaliados antes, imediatamente após e 15 minutos após o término da intervenção/repouso quanto aos parâmetros cardiorrespiratórios (saturação periférica de oxigênio/SpO2, frequências cardíaca/fc e respiratória/fr) e dor (escalas específicas: NIPS, NFCS e PIPP). Para análise dos dados foram aplicados: testes qui-quadrado, Friedman, Kruskal- Wallis e, posteriormente, análise de comparações múltiplas, com p<0,05 significativo. RESULTADOS: participaram do estudo 60 RN, dos quais 56,7% eram do sexo feminino, 68,3% prétermo/ muito baixo peso, com média de idade gestacional corrigida de 38,88 ± 2,03 semanas, idade de 13,22 ± 7,37 dias e peso de 1603,42 ± 439,16 gramas. Antes da intervenção, os grupos eram equivalentes quanto à presença de dor e parâmetros cardiorrespiratórios basais. Comparando os efeitos de cada um dos procedimentos, entre os grupos e no decorrer das três avaliações, não houve alterações significativas em nenhum dos parâmetros cardiorrespiratórios avaliados (p>0,05) e em relação à dor houve mudanças significativas nas escalas NIPS (G1 e G2, p=0,037 e p=0,011, respectivamente) e PIPP (G2, p=0,005). CONCLUSÕES: técnicas de fisioterapia respiratória não desencadearam dor, nem instabilidade cardiorrespiratória nos RN estudados.

Objective: to analyze qualitative studies published in the national and international scientific literature on breast reconstruction after mastectomy for breast cancer, from the perspective of women. Method: systematic literature review using meta-ethnography, where the synthesis of knowledge is based on the induction and interpretation of the data found. Searches in the electronic databases identified 65 studies. 27 studides meet the inclusion and exclusion criteria. 13 studies compressed the analytical corpus of the review, according to the Critical Appraisal Skills Programme checklist. The data were synthesized by means of the meta-ethnographic approach. Results: the analyzed studies showed similarities regarding the women´s decision to perform breast reconstruction, the difficulty of choosing the type of surgery and to deal with the experience of the reconstruction, and that the women had difficulties in establishing relationships with certain health professionals, especially with doctors. They refer to the ambivalence of feelings regarding the expectations and results of breast reconstruction and complex process of "carrying on". Conclusion: this review synthesizes the scientific knowledge regarding women's perspective regarding the breast reconstruction process and highlights that health professionals must understand the perceptions of women undergoing mastectomy and breast reconstruction in order to improve the care provided.

Background:The delivery pain is an unpleasant experience which may generate some insecurity for the woman. Thus, some methods of analgesia need to be studied in order to generate greater comfort for the woman during labor. Objective: to evaluate the effect of transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation (TENS) and cryotherapy (CRYO) on labor pain. Method/Design: quasi experimental study, randomized sample in two groups: TENS and CRYO. Pregnant women were selected in the Carmela Dutra Maternity (Florianópolis (SC), Brazil) according to inclusion criteria: women which are pregnant for the first time, age (18-40 years) and initial cervical dilatation of 4-5cm. The Visual Analogue Scale (VAS) was used to evaluate pain before and after each intervention. Results: 24 parturient women were studied (TENS = 11, CRYO = 13). In the TENS group, there was a significant result in pain relief after the first application (p = 0.002). VAS was reduced from 8 to 5.5, but not significant. In the CRYO group there was reduction of pain during the first application (p = 0.008), and in the second there was an increase in pain (p = 0.008). There was a significant difference between the techniques in the evaluation performed before the second application, with a lower value attributed to the CRYO group (p = 0.034). Conclusions: CRYO and TENS were effective in relieving pain during the first phase of the initial phase of labor. However, during the treatment, in the parturient women studied, there was maintenance of pain response by the CRYO group and decrease in the TENS group without reduction significant.
