Die Bedeutung der serologisehen Echinokokkendiagnose, die unabhängig voneinander von Ohedini sowie von Apphatie und Lorentz zuerst angewandt und später von Weinbeïg weiter ausgebaut wurde, wird vielfach noch immer unterschätzt oder verknnt. Bei der Durchsicht der Veröffentlichungen über dergleichen Fälle kann mali beobachten, daß zur Diagnose neben dem objektiven Tumorbefunde in der Regel wohl noch nach dem Vorhandensein einer Eosinophilie gefahndet wird, während. die serologischen Untersuchungsmethoden unseres Erachtens zu Unrecht selten Erwähnung finden. Welche irrtümlichen Ansichten sich einige Aerzte bisweilen über diese Methoden gebildet haben, geht aus Bemerkungen hervor die sie iianches Mal auf die Begleitschreiben derartiger Blutproben setzen. So bitten sie z. B. um die Ausführung der Agglutinationsprüfung auf Echinokokkus oder um die Abderhaldensche Reaktion und dergleichen thehr.
Die Frage der bazill~en Ruhr~itiologie ist auch dutch die groflen Erfahrungen, die man im Kriege sammeln konnte, nicht vollstandig ge-kl~rt worden.AIIerdings sind an der Einheitlichkeit der sogcnannten echten, nach Shiga-Kruse benannten Dysenteriestfi~ame keine Zweifel mchr laut geworden, vielmehr haben sich die Untersucher bei schweren Epidemien, die beson~ders an der Ostfront zur Beobachtung gelangten, davon iiberzeugen kSnnen, dal~ an vielen Stell6n in der Itauptsache der Shiga-Kruse-Bazillus als ursachliches i~oment in Betracht kam.Ganz anders liegen die Verh~ltnisse beztiglich der groBen Gruppc der vom Shiga-Kmsetypus verschiedenen Ruhrbazillen. Hier stehen sich noch immer verschiedene Anschauungen gegeniiber.W~hrend bekanntlioh Lentz (I) zwischen ,,giftigen" und ,,giftarmen'.' Ruhrbazillen unterscheidet und diese mit His u.a. auf Grund ihres Zueke~vergiirungsvermSgens in die Typen Flexner, Y und Strong einteilt, stellt Kruse (2) die ,,echten" Dysenteriebazillen den ,,Pseudodysenterie-baziUen" gegeniiber und li~l~t diese auf Grund agglutinato~ischer Absorptionsversuche in die Rassen A bis J zerfallen.Eine vermlttelnde Stellung nahm bereits Shiga (3) und sp~ter Hehewerth (4) ein, und. Korthof (5) greift neuerdings wieder auf diese Ansicht zuriick. Er eml0fiehlt ebenfalls die Aufstellung von nur zwei Gruppen, und zwar der toxischen Shiga-Kruse-Bazillen und der atoxischen Bazillen, mad lehnt iede weitere Einteilung in verschieclene Unterabteilungen wegen der Unsicherheit der oben erw~ihn~en chemischen bzw. se~ologischen Differenzierungsmethoden ab. Das Wont atoxisch ist alle~dings insofern nicht gliicldich gew~hlt, als P~ib~am (6), Kolle (7) und anderen Autoren bereits der Nachweis echter Toxine auch bei den sogenannten ungiftigen St~mmen gelungen ist.
