Multimedia teaching materials are widely applied in various disciplines. More resources are provided by authorities to encourage elementary school teachers to use them. The resources provide an opportunity for teachers to share teaching resources for students. In this study, the technology acceptance model (TAM) was used as the basic model to explore the effects of the information technology (IT) environment on the perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use, and attitude towards using multimedia, and the relevance and influence of these attitudes on behavioral intention. There are 2317 teachers in Chiayi county, and 460 participants were selected by stratified random sampling. The results showed that the ease of use of the multimedia material would enhance the intention to use. The attitude toward use also influences the intention to use.
The aim of this study is to discover the influence of multimedia materials of Taekwondo Aerobic on students' learning attitude with diverse learning styles. Taekwondo Aerobic class is a new subject for junior high school teachers in Taiwan. The junior high school students are promoted to learn this activity to improve their health. With the advance of digital technology, multimedia-based teaching style has been emphasized and applied. Not every student handles the material well and their learning styles also influence their learning achievement. Participants were students on grade seventh and eighth. Students are divided into two groups, with one experiment group adopting multimedia-based teaching, and one control group adopting traditional teaching respectively. Students are given questionnaires after the experiment. There were 101 valid questionnaires. The results show that adopting multimedia-based teaching style promotes students' learning attitude. Using multimedia-based teaching style has significant effects on students' learning attitude with different learning styles in teaching Taekwondo Aerobic.
ERP provides businesses flow management and includes manufacturing, accounting, sales and customer relationship management. The new ICT technology, cloud computing, offers an alternative for businesses to conduct ERP. The traditional ERP implementation methodology involves various processes and procedures, which constitute the conditions or means for formulating the actual implementation of ERP projects. It is a time-consuming project. Cloud ERP is then a very good proposition for a start-up, and is simple to deploy, organization need not to bear additional server and other dependent costs. It is also easy and quick to implement an ERP to a business organization. However, on cloud ERP, the challenge of data security, business profit, Internet accessibility, and the total cost become initial issues for businesses to choose a fit one. This study provides a framework for businesses to adopt the cloud ERP.
The purpose of this study is to examine the combined effect of selfefficacy and academic integration on higher education students studying IT (Information Technology) majors in Taiwan. We introduced self-efficacy, which is a psychological factor that affects students' academic outcomes, as a new factor in Tinto' theory, a well-known framework in student retention research. Academic integration is the main proposition of Tinto's theory affecting students' decision to dropout. Students from different populations have various reasons from dropping out of their studies. An examination of the relationship between self-efficacy and academic integration is useful to understand the effect of self-efficacy on academic outcomes on the IT student population in Taiwan. Data from a Taiwanese national survey database conducted in 2005 was used to achieve the research objective. A total of 2,895 records were extracted from 75,084 students in public and private institutions studying in two IT-related Majors, namely Information Management (IM) and Computer Science (CS). MANOVA was used to analyze the interaction effects between academic integration and self-efficacy. The independent variables were institution types and students' majors. The results showed that students from public institutions have higher levels of self-efficacy than students from private ones. Another finding is that IM students seem to have better study strategies and habits than CS students. However, CS students were found to have better collaboration and satisfaction with their institutions than IM students. Team projects, counselling Educ Inf Technol (2010) 15:333-353 services, and flexible teaching and learning strategy are suggested to enhance students' academic integration and self-efficacy.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
