Sept. 1903.Von der Regel ausgehend, daft eine ausgesprochene ammoniakalische Harnreaktion stets yon in den Urin ge]angten Bakterien hervorgerufen set, land Freudenberg eine Ausnahme in der Phosphaturie. Hier waren keine Bakterien vorhanden~ das Ammoniak mul~te also im K6rper selbst gebildet worden seth. Verf. unterscheidet 3 Grade der Phosphaturie: 1. eine ,reelle oder manifeste" l)hosphaturie~ bei we]cher der eben entleerte Ham bereits durch Phosphate und Karbonate getriibt set; 2. eine ,latente" Form~ bet welcher erst die Erhitzung des Harnes die Triibung siehibar werden ]~l~t. Wahrscheinlich wird hier durch das Entweiehea der Koh]ensfiure das Ausfallen jener Substanzen erst erm6glicht. Den 3. und geringsten Grad beze~chnet YerL als Ammoniurie, in welehenF~illen die ammoniakalische Reaktion erst auftritt, wenn man nach einer in der `Arbeit ausffihrlich bescbriebenen ~ethode die Diimpfe des siedenden Urins prfift. Wenn sich diese l~hosphaturien auch manehmal bet Gesunden naeh GeI~u~ a]ka]ischer S10eisen und Medikament% nach geistigen Uberan-stre~gungen finden, so spricht Verf. ihr k o n s t ant e s Auftreten doch als di~gnostisch beachtenswertes Merl~mal yon Neurasthenie an. .Am deutlichsten lieB sich auch kiinisch die Neurasthenie bet Pat. mit manifester Phosphaturie erkennen, wiihrend der ~bergang zur ~]ateuten" Form und zur Amr~oniurie gew6hnlich mit einer Besserung der nerv6sen Symptome einherging. Die meisten untersuehten Pat. waren Urogenitalneurastheniker. Bei Hysterie fand sich die besehriebene Harnreaktion nieh!~.
Akute und chronisehe Infektionskrankheiten. Klingmiiller. Ein Fall yon Lepra tuberosa aus Oberschlesien. Deutsche Med. Woch. 37. 1902. Es handelt sich bier um den ersten Fall yon Lepra tuberosa aus 0berschlesien (Kattowitz), welch en K i n g m fi 11 e r aus der 5I e i s s e r schen Klinik beschreibt. Massenhaft fanden sich die Bazillen in dem Gewebssalt der Knoten, in dem Geschwfirssekret der ~ase und dcr Mundh6hl% ferner in den vorsichtig abgehobenen Schuppen yon Ellbogen und Knien Wenn Verfasser auch annimmt, daLI der gr61~te Tell dieser ausgeschiedenen Bazillen bercits abgestorben ist, so kann doch durch die Ausscheidung und Absto~ung solch grol~er Massen yon Bazillen die M6glichkeit zur weiteren ['Jbertragung gegeben seth. Anscheinend zeigten sich als erstcs Symptom der Lepta der chronische Schnupfen als Ausdruck einer Erkrankung der Nasenschleimhaut. Die Inkubationszeit hat vielleicht 11-13 Jahre betragen. Wahrscheinlich hat sich die Paticntin in Russland infiziert. Mit Recht wiinscht Verfasser daher, dal~ man diesem ersten Fail yon Lepra aus 0berschlesien seitens der YerwaltungsbehSrden die ganze Aufmerksamkeit zuwende. Max J o s ep 11 (Berlin). Thin, George. The Treatment of two Cases of Nerve Leprosy in which Recovery took Place. British Medical Journal. Mat 4. 1901. Zwei F~lle yon ~erven-LeFra , die v611ig geheilt wurden. Der erste Fall betraf einen 11j~hrigen Knaben, welcher an einer schweren Nerven-Lepra lift. Die Behandlung bestand in Darreichung yon Chaulmoogra-()l innerlich yon 3 Tropfen an steigend, ferner auch ~u~erlich und Anwendung yon Borsgure-B~idern. Dies wurde durch 2 Jahre fortgesetzt und hatte angeblich geradezu gl~inzenden Erfolg. Der 2. Fall wurde mit 50/0 Pyrogallolsalbe, Gurjun-()l und Solutio Fowleri behandelt. Bazillen mehr. Bei den injizierten Tieren waren ebenfalls keine Bazillen mehr nachweislich. Offenbar scheidet der KSrper das eingebrachte Material raseh wieder aus.
