Es handelt sich bier um den ersten Fall yon Lepra tuberosa aus 0berschlesien (Kattowitz), welch en K i n g m fi 11 e r aus der 5I e i s s e r schen Klinik beschreibt. Massenhaft fanden sich die Bazillen in dem Gewebssalt der Knoten, in dem Geschwfirssekret der ~ase und dcr Mundh6hl% ferner in den vorsichtig abgehobenen Schuppen yon Ellbogen und Knien Wenn Verfasser auch annimmt, daLI der gr61~te Tell dieser ausgeschiedenen Bazillen bercits abgestorben ist, so kann doch durch die Ausscheidung und Absto~ung solch grol~er Massen yon Bazillen die M6glichkeit zur weiteren ['Jbertragung gegeben seth. Anscheinend zeigten sich als erstcs Symptom der Lepta der chronische Schnupfen als Ausdruck einer Erkrankung der Nasenschleimhaut. Die Inkubationszeit hat vielleicht 11-13 Jahre betragen. Wahrscheinlich hat sich die Paticntin in Russland infiziert. Mit Recht wiinscht Verfasser daher, dal~ man diesem ersten Fail yon Lepra aus 0berschlesien seitens der YerwaltungsbehSrden die ganze Aufmerksamkeit zuwende. Max J o s ep 11 (Berlin). Thin, George. The Treatment of two Cases of Nerve Leprosy in which Recovery took Place. British Medical Journal. Mat 4. 1901. Zwei F~lle yon ~erven-LeFra , die v611ig geheilt wurden. Der erste Fall betraf einen 11j~hrigen Knaben, welcher an einer schweren Nerven-Lepra lift. Die Behandlung bestand in Darreichung yon Chaulmoogra-()l innerlich yon 3 Tropfen an steigend, ferner auch ~u~erlich und Anwendung yon Borsgure-B~idern. Dies wurde durch 2 Jahre fortgesetzt und hatte angeblich geradezu gl~inzenden Erfolg. Der 2. Fall wurde mit 50/0 Pyrogallolsalbe, Gurjun-()l und Solutio Fowleri behandelt.
