The purpose of this research is to determine: (1) the difference of the science process skills of students learning using group workshop method with students using the discussion method; (2) PENDAHULUANPerubahan jaman dan tuntutan masyarakat mendorong peningkatkan kualitas pendidikan untuk mampu menghasilkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas dan mampu bersaing. Sebagaimana yang diungkapkan oleh Mulyasa (2009:4), dalam tataran mikro pendidikan harus mampu menghasilkan sumber daya manusia yang berkualitas dan profesional, termasuk di dalamnya kebutuhan dunia kerja dan respon terhadap perubahan yang terjadi dalam masyarakat. Upaya untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan membutuhkan proses pembelajaran yang optimal sehingga tercapai tujuan yang diharapkan.Menurut UU No. 23 Tahun 2003 tentang Sistem Pendidikan Nasional, pembelajaran adalah proses interaksi peserta didik dengan pendidik dan sumber belajar pada suatu lingkungan belajar. Pembelajaran merupakan proses penyediaan kondisi yang mengakibatkan terjadinya interaksi dalam proses belajar pada diri peserta didik dengan guru. Upaya untuk mengembangkan kompetensi peserta didik memerlukan adanya kerjasama antartiap komponen dalam dunia pendidikan untuk mencapai niat tersebut.
Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tumbuhan pewarna alami, organ tumbuhan yang digunakan, warna yang dihasilkan, dan proses pengolahan tumbuhan hingga menghasilkan warna. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik observasi dan wawancara semi struktural. Penelitian ini pada masyarakat Kecamatan Nunkolo, Kabupaten Timor Tengah Selatan di Desa Haumeni, Desa Putun dan Desa Nunkolo. Jumlah informen dalam penelitian ini 30 orang yang terdiri atas kepala Desa, tokoh masyarakat, pengrajin dan masyarakat yang mengetahui tentang pemanfaatan tumbuhan pewarna alami. Analisis data menggunakan analisis deskriptif. Dari hasil penelitian diperoleh 5 jenis tumbuhan pewarna alami yaitu rimpang dari famili Zingiberaceace yaitu Kunyit/Huki (Curcuma domestica L) menghasilkan warna kuning yang diolah dengan cara ditumbuk, warna merah dihasilkan dari kulit batang famili Rubiaceace yakni Mengkudu/Baok’ulu (Morinda citrifolia L) yang direbus, warna hijau dihasilkan dari famili Fabaceace yakni daun kacang Arbila/Koto (Phaseolus lunatus L) yang ditumbuk, warna hitam dihasilkan dari famili Rubiaceace yakni daun Tarum/Taum (Indigofera tinctoria L) yang direndam, dari famili Euphorbiaceae yang diambil adalah daun Pohon Buah Tinta/Meko (Phylantus reticulatus Poir) untuk warna biru diolah dengan direndam dan dicampuran tepung jagung, Selain itu terdapat tumbuhan yang digunakan sebagai bahan tambahan dalam pewarnaan yaitu daging buah kelapa/Noa (Cocos nucifera) dan kapur sirih. Tumbuhan yang digunakan dalam proses perendaman awal adalah Kemiri/Fenu (Aleurites mollucana L) dan Jagung/Pena (Zea Mays L). Tujuan penambahan kapur adalah sebagai penguat warna sehingga tidak mudah luntur. Tumbuhan yang berpotensi sebagai pewarna alami tenun ikat sebagian besar telah dibudidayakan. Tumbuhan yang dibudidayakan adalah Tarum, Kunyit dan kacang Arbila.
Gender equality is one of the important topics that need attention in learning. This study aims at finding out the cognitive learning outcomes of the equality of male and female students in Children Learning in Science (CLIS) that was combined with a Brain Gym. This study is a a comparative research. The population of this study were the students of grade XI MIA SMA Negeri 7 Kupang in the academic year of 2018/2019 and the sample of this study were the students of grade XI MIA 1. The instrument used was a test of cognitive learning outcomes. The data obtained were analyzed using Anakova. The results showed that by combining CLIS and Brain Gym technique, the equality of cognitive learning outcomes for male and female students can occur. Providing the same opportunities, the same tasks, and the same responsibilities during CLIS combined with a Brain Gym learning, can minimize the differences in characteristics between genders so that the learning outcomes obtained are equivalent.
The problems found by students who are less active in the learning process carried out in class are seen from the students who still look passive in asking and answering questions raised by the teacher and raising ideas or ideas, students' ability to learn the concepts that make it difficult for students to explain the material with words alone. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the model of problem solving learning assisted by mockup media on students' critical thinking skills. This type of research used is experimental research (experimental). The design of this research is True experimental design in the form of posstest-only control design. The research procedure is the preparation phase and the implementation stage. Data collection techniques using tests were analyzed using t tests. The results of this study indicate that there is an influence on students' critical thinking skills after using the model of problem solving learning assisted by the media model, this is shown from the use of the problem solving learning model where students can solve problems and find solutions, with the media model as a concrete media showing a picture of pollution water clearly so that attracts the attention of students as for the advantages of media models that can represent as contained in nature, students can experience learning directly, direct observation can be observed by students by observing objects directly or imitations, and can show the flow of a process clearly . This can be seen from the average value obtained from the 84.05 experimental class while in the control class 63, 20 and included in the very good category. Thus it can be concluded that learning using a model of problem solving learning assisted by mockup media can improve critical thinking skills.
ABSTRACT This study aims to develop a suitable picture card media product for use on the subject of mushrooms. The development model used in this study is the ADDIE Model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation). The presentation of the results of this study was obtained from the results of the test of material experts 94%, with good qualifications, design expert test 94%, media expert test 97%, small group test 79% and large group test 86%. Based on data from experts, it can be seen that according to material experts, design experts, media experts, small group trials and large group trials with the total number of presentations is 90%. The percentage of the assessment shows a positive response to the learning media for picture cards that are developed, thus indicating that the form of the image developed is suitable for use as a learning media because the form of learning media for picture cards is in accordance with the learning objectives. This is because the form of picture card Learning Media that has been developed has its own advantages, where the image characters contained in the picture card media can attract students' attention so that the learning material will be easier for students to understand and can help teachers to teach mushroom material.Keywords: Development, Learning Media, Picture Cards
