Pelaku usaha ekonomi kreatif maupun masyarakat sekitar destinasi wisata ini yang seharusnya menjadi perhatian bagi banyak pihak, kesiapan mereka dalam menghadapi perubahan yang terjadi harus dapat diimbangi dengan pengetahuan dan strategi yang harus mereka miliki agar bisa menjadikannya potensi untuk bisa meningkatkan taraf hidup mereka serta kemandirian dalam berwirausaha. Dengan adanya peningkatan pelaku usaha ekonomi kreatif ini dapat memberikan lapangan pekerjaan bagi mereka sendiri dan sekitarnya sehingga perkembangan sektor pariwisata dapat beriringan dengan berkembangnya ekonomi kreatif dari masyarakat sekitar. Pendampingan dalam menyusun strategi usaha saat ini menjadi kebutuhan yang penting bagi masyarakat desa Muara Jambi untuk dapat bersaing dengan wirausaha swasta dan besar lainnya, sehingga mereka juga mendapatkan keuntungan dengan berkembangnya destinasi wisata tersebut. Tujuan dan target capaian dari kegiatan ini adalah perubahan mindset sehingga usaha yang mereka lakukan lebih berorientasi kepada bisnis dengan akses penjualan berbasis online. Hasil yang dicapai dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah pedagang usaha kecil dan warga sekitar sangat antusias sekali dan pemahaman materi yang telah diberikan diharapkan dapat segera terealisasi untuk meningkatkan pendapatan keluarga.
Entrepreneurs are those who are brave and willing to take a risk for success or failure. The idea of success itself has many meanings and factors behind it. By using qualitative design, this research aimed at exploring the meaning of success for female entrepreneurs and the factors that influenced their success. Data were collected through an in-depth interview with four female entrepreneurs who owned culinary business. Findings showed that the participants perceived the definition of success as the stage when they can meet financial needs such as ownership of house, vehicles and able to go Umrah. Then the financial success will shift to psychological success which formed as an inner satisfaction because they can help people by employing them, share and give some to others or families. To be successful, personal factors, internal and external support from family are really matter. Understanding the meaning of success and the factors influenced it will have implications for determining strategy in achieving success.
Becoming a startup for mothers who are members of the recitation group is an effort to increase family income. However, if we don't have the courage to start a business, all of our wishes will just become a dream that won't come true. This service activity aims to stimulate courage and change the mindset of the women of the Raudhatul Jannah recitation group, Koto Rendah Village, Siulak District, Kerinci Jambi Regency to develop her potential from being a housewife who has daily gardening activities, becoming a startup by synergizing with her group members. Through the counseling and discussion method, how to start a startup business, determinants of startup success, the role of technology in business and opening access to online-based sales are given to them. The result achieved is the formation of a Joint Business Group (KUBE) which consists of similar business groups and collaborates in running businesses in groups.
The purpose of this study was to describe and analyze the influence of human resources competencies and entrepreneurial characteristics on the performance of the small-medium-sized food industry with the intervening variable of competitive advantage. This research is verification in nature, basically wants to test the truth of a hypothesis which is carried out through data collection in the field. The unit of analysis in this research is the food SMIs (Small and Medium Industries) actors in Jambi Province. The data were obtained through distributing questionnaires to 378 SMIs food entrepreneurs. The data analysis used was quantitative analysis using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM). The analysis results concluded that the respondents' responses to the variables of human resources competence, entrepreneurial characteristics, competitive advantage, and SMIs performance obtained the average number included in the good scale range. The variables of human resources competency, entrepreneurial characteristics, competitive advantage significantly influence the performance of food SMIs in Jambi Province, either partially or simultaneously. Human resources competency and entrepreneurial characteristics variables have a significant indirect effect on SMIs performance through the intervening variable of competitive advantage. The entrepreneurial characteristics variable is the dominant variable affecting the SMIs performance. The research model by adding the competitive advantage variable as an intervening variable resulted in a better effect on the SMIs performance.
Makanan olahan ikan merupakan produk unggulan di Kecamatan Pelayangan Kota Jambi. Saat ini perkembangan industri kecil makanan olahan ikan belum menunjukkan perkembangan yang baik dikarenakan produk belum diproduksi secara massal yang disebabkan ada permasalahan pada manajemen dan teknologi. Mitra dalam kegiatan PPM ini ada dua yaitu Kelompok Usaha Melati dan Kelompok Usaha Sri Rezeki di Kecamatan Pelayangan Kota Jambi. Permasalahan mitra yang diprioritaskan akan diselesaikan adalah pada masalah manajemen usaha dan penerapan Teknologi Tepat Guna (TTG). Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah mengembangkan produk unggulan daerah makanan olahan ikan untuk meningkatkan kinerja usaha dengan menerapkan IbM (Iptek Bagi Masyarakat) manajemen usaha dan TTG mesin pengering. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode sosial dan partisipatif dengan memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan manajemen usaha kepada mitra serta pemberian bantuan dan penerapan teknologi tepat guna. Dengan kegiatan ini UKM yang ada di Kecamatan Pelayangan akan terus tumbuh dan berkembang sebagi produk unggulan daerah Jambi yang dikenal di masyarakat dalam dan luar negeri. Selanjutnya dapat memperluas akses pasar melalui pemanfaatan TTG, kemasan produk yang menarik dan higienis serta pemanfaatan media sosial sebagai strategi pemasaran berbasis IT.
