This research type was research and development which is conducted at SMP Negeri 8 Tarakan at VII class in Academic Year 2018/2019. The objective of this research was to develop the pocket book based on local wisdom as a learning source on number material that was suitable and practical for the seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Tarakan.The development model used was ADDIE model modification. The ADDIE model consists of five stages that were consisted of: Analysis, Design, Development, and Evaluation. However, because of limitation time and limitation of the research objectives, so the researcher modified the ADDIE model modification by limiting the stage only in development stage. The product testing stage through two stages those were expert assessment and user response. In expert assessment was validated by the material experts, display experts and linguists. In the small group trials was carried out by 2 mathematics teachers and 6 students. On the field trial carried out by 26 students.The result of analysis shows that the product of pocket book based on local wisdom was developed based on validation by the material experts got a very suitable category with the percentage of 85.71%, display experts got a very suitable category with the percentage of 86.25% and linguists got a very suitable category with the percentage of 85 %. Whereas based on the result in the field by the responses of student users got the percentage of 83.5% with a very practical category. Because the pocket book already fulfilled the suitable and practical requirements which consisting of aspects of the content or material feasibility, display feasibility, language feasibility, and practicality of user responses, so pocket book based on local wisdom can be used as a learning source on number material that suitable and practical for seventh grade students of SMP Negeri 8 Tarakan
Pengabdian pada masyarakat pada kegiatan ini adalah memberikan wawasan pengetahuan tentang penulisan karya ilmiah. Pelatihan pengabdian ini tujuannya adalah mendampingi para guru dalam menulis karya ilmiah penelitian tindakan kelas secara benar dan mendampingi guru dalam prosedur penulisan karya ilmiah dalam jurnal.Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pengabdian adalah metode ceramah, diskusi dan praktik. Metode ceramah untuk menyampaikan tentang penulisan karya ilmiah berbasis penelitian tindakan kelas dan prosedur penulisan karya ilmiah dalam jurnal. sedangkan metode praktik untuk memberikan kesempatan berlatih kepada peserta untuk membuat tulisan karya ilmiah. Hasil kegiatan pengabdian secara keseluruhan dapat dinilai cukup baik, dilihat dari keberhasilan target jumlah peserta pelatihan dinilai baik (90%), prosedur pelaksanaan dalam melaksanakan penelitian tindakan kelas di nilai baik mencapai (76%), dan ketercapaian tujuan pelatihan dalam penulisan artikel dinilai cukup baik (50 %).Abstract: Community devotion to this activity is to provide insight into the knowledge of the writing of scientific papers. This devotional training is aimed at assisting teachers in properly writing scientific research on classroom action research and accompanying teachers in publication procedures of scientific papers in journals. The methods used in devotional activities are lecture, discussion and practice methods. Methods of lectures and discussion to convey about the writing of scientific papers based on classroom action research and scientific journal writing procedures in journals. While practice methods to provide the opportunity to participants practice writing scientific papers. The results of overall devotion activities can be considered good enough, seen from the success of the target number of trainees is considered good (90%), implementation procedures in conducting classroom action research in good grades reached (76%), and the achievement of training objectives in the article writing is considered quite good (50%).
This study aims to describe problem solving abilities in solving linear algebra problems of students majoring in Mathematics Education at UBT in online learning, for each indicator of mathematical problem solving ability. The type of research used in this research is descriptive with a quantitative approach. The data collection method uses a problem-solving ability test in solving linear algebra problems in the form of descriptions. The test of mathematical problem solving ability is carried out online using the Zoom and WhatsApp applications. The sample in this study amounted to 73 students who were taken using a saturated sampling technique. The results of this study indicate that the indicator for understanding the problem is in the high category with an average value of 77.35 or with a percentage value of 35.72%, the indicator for planning completion is in the medium category with an average value of 61.73 or with a percentage value of 28.51%, the indicator carries out completion. classified in the medium category with an average value of 42.83 or with a percentage value of 19.78%, and the re-examination indicator is classified as a medium category with an average value of 34.61 or a percentage value of 15.98%. Keywords: Mathematical Problem Solving Ability, Online Learning.AbstrakPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam menyelesaikan masalah aljabar linear mahasiswa jurusan Pendidikan Matematika UBT pada pembelajaran daring, untuk setiap indikator kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Metode pengumpulan data menggunakan tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah dalam menyelesaikan masalah aljabar linear berupa uraian. Adapun pemberian tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematika dilakukan secara daring menggunakan aplikasi Zoom dan WhatsApp. Sampel dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 73 mahasiswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. .Hasil penelitian ini menujukkan bahwa untuk indikator memahami masalah tergolong kategori tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 77.35 atau dengan nilai persentase 35.72%, indikator merencanakan penyelesaian tergolong kategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 61.73 atau dengan nilai persentase 28.51%, indikator melaksanakan penyelesaian tergolong kategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 42.83 atau dengan nilai persentase 19.78%, dan indikator memeriksa kembali tergolong kategori sedang dengan nilai rata-rata sebesar 34.61 atau dengan nilai persentase 15.98%.Kata kunci: Kemampuan Pemecahan Masalah Matematika, Pembelajaran Daring
Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan melakukan Klinik Matematika untuk meningkatkan minat dan motivasi, serta kemampuan matematika siswa di SMP Muhammadiyah 1 Tarakan, yang merupakan salah satu SMP di wilayah perbatasan Kalimantan Utara. Klinik matematika dimulai dengan mencari permasalahan minat dan motivasi dan melakukan konseling untuk membangkitkan minat dan motivasi belajar matematika siswa. Selain itu, melakukan tutorial terhadap siswa untuk meningkatkan kemampuan matematika siswa belajar matematika dengan mengelompokkan siswa sebanyak 3 orang per kelompok. Diperoleh hampir semua siswa tidak menyukai belajar matematika, karena sulit menghapal rumus matematika yang banyak, tidak paham atau susah mengerjakan soal matematika, anggapan menghitungkan dalam pelajaran matematika sangat melelahkan. Terlihat juga ketika siswa mengerjakan soal matematika yang dasar seperti pengoperasian campuran bilangan bulat, pecahan, bentuk decimal, persentase hanya sebagian kecil siswa yang dapat mengerjakan nya. Hasil akhir kegiatan Klinik Matematika bahwa pada setiap kegiatan siswa antusias, senang, tertarik, terlibat, dan perhatian terhadap pelajaran matematika mengikuti pelajaran matematika di kelas dan di rumah. Dan sebanyak 83% siswa terjadi peningkatan terhadap kemampuan matematikanya. Atau hanya 16% yang belum ada peningkatan sama sekali kemampuan matematika nya.
During the Covid-19 Pandemic, learning was carried out at the home of each student or Learning From Home (BDR). The new problem that arises is that the stress level of students increases and interest in learning mathematics decreases. To overcome this problem, learning innovation is needed. One of the things that can be done is to use a coastal area-based learning video during the lesson. One of the places to study in the coastal area of Tarakan City is LKP Fajar Mentari. With the existence of this learning video, it can help the community increase their interest in learning mathematics during the Covid 19 pandemic. The method is carried out at the beginning, namely conducting observations and interviews with partners and children on the coast of Amal Beach through direct observation with health protocols or by telephone / whatsaap, then doing license to implement the program ,, prepare a coastal area-based learning video by utilizing the Tarakan Amal Beach environment and objects around the coast. After the video is ready to foster, do face to face with health protocol and link the learning video based on the Amal Beach Tarakan coastal area through online applications WhatsApp. The last stage is to present a questionnaire on the interest in learning mathematics at the end of the community service. The result of the activity, namely children's interest in learning using mathematics learning videos increased during the covid-19 pandemic. This can be seen from the children feeling happy, enthusiastic and active in answering even in learning mathematics.
