Objective: Neck management in cT1-2N0 tongue squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) remains controversial. Our goal was to compare the survival difference between PET-CT-guided neck dissection and elective neck dissection (END) for the treatment of cT1-2 tongue SCC. Methods: Patients with surgically treated cT1-2N0 tongue SCC were retrospectively enrolled. These patients were divided into two groups. Group A: The decision of whether to perform neck dissection was mainly based on the results of preoperative PET-CT examinations. Group B: Patients received END treatment without preoperative PET-CT examinations. The study endpoints were regional control (RC) and disease-specific survival (DSS). The Kaplan-Meier method was used to calculate the survival rates. Results: Group A consisted of 66 patients, and 16 patients underwent neck dissection owing to positive PET-CT results. Group B consisted of 169 patients. The 5-year RC rates in group A and group B were 86 and 87%, respectively, and the difference was not significant (p = 0.731). The 5-year DSS rates in group A and group B were 93 and 90%, respectively, and the difference was not significant (p = 0.583). Conclusions: Neck dissection can be safely avoided when the PET-CT scan reveals no neck lymph node involvement.
Abstract. This article selected the phyllite of the eastern Ankang section of the highway from Shiyan to Tianshui for raw materials, and made a series of experiments. The results showed that phyllite belongs to a kind of soft rock, low strength ,stability, and easy to collapse .This article is based on CBR test results, combined with analysis of variance theory analyzes the different cement dosage and coarse aggregate level matching phyllite packing effect of CBR.The results showed that the dosage of cement and coarse aggregate level matching phyllite CBR value effects are significant. When considering the economic and engineering characteristics, through the analysis, the choice with 3% the cement dosage and 55% the content of coarse aggregate of gradation combination is the best combination.
In this study, a perfect metamaterial absorber (PMMA) based on an indium antimonide temperature-sensitive material is designed and investigated in the terahertz region. We demonstrate that it is an ideal perfect narrow-band absorber with polarization-insensitive and wide-angle absorption properties. Numerical simulation results show that the proposed PMMA can be operated as a temperature sensor with a sensitivity of 21.9 GHz/K. A graphene layer was added to the PMMA structure to improve the sensitivity, and the temperature sensitivity was increased to 24.4 GHz/K. Owing to its excellent performance, the proposed PMMA can be applied in thermal sensing, detection, and switching.
Liquid lead-bismuth eutectic (LBE) has been studied as a new type of coolant for an accelerator driven sub-critical system (ADS). And the gas-lift pump has been used to enhance the circulation capacity of coolant in ADS instead of mechanical pumps due to its simpler mechanical structure and higher security. The purpose of this experiment is to study the circulation capacity enhancement by gas-lift technique and the flow and heat transfer characteristic of liquid LBE in an annular channel. The experimental results show that: gas-injection can significantly increase liquid LBE mass flow rate, but the growth of liquid LBE mass flow rate will be reduced when gas flow rate reaches a value; The friction coefficient of liquid LBE in an annular channel decreases with the increase of Re and is larger than that calculated by Blasius formula at the same Re. For the convection heat transfer of liquid LBE in an annular channel, the heat conduction term is dominant, and Nusselt number increases with the increase of Peclet number. The experimental correlations of friction coefficient and convection heat transfer of liquid LBE in annular channel were fitted based on experimental data and compared with those from literature.
In many regions, such as Tibet, Qinghai etc, because of its unique climate conditions, continual appear all kinds of road diseases, such as cracks, subsidence and damages. Mainly due to the traditional maintenance ways on semi-rigid base material in these regions are not very well. So based on the characteristics of semi-rigid base material and these areas with ample solar energy, a new maintenance way was proposed. Also this paper selects the best isothermal bags through the designed test, and verified its curing effect well.
