Fenomenologia.Abstract: This article contrasts the phenomenological approaches to imagination of Jean-Paul Sartre and Gaston Bachelard to problematize a long western philosophical tradition of image disqualification, a type excluded from the field of knowledge by the perspective of the sensitive. Both philosophers have contributed to denying the psychologization of image and removing the condition of perception and memory, yet doing so by opposite conclusions in the relationship between imagination and knowledge. If Sartre relates imagination to an act of nothingness and shows the intentionality of imaginative consciousness from the object's reference to the depth of its absence, Bachelard describes it as the organizing dynamism of perception and the actual realization of imagination as a result of language. In case of an emergency, no contrast between properties as phenomenology of the imagination is questioned by presentational language as part of the observable and known aspects of facts provided by the privilege of vision in the theories of knowledge.
