Bu çalışmada öğretmen adaylarının stresle başa çıkma yollarının ve depresyon düzeylerinin bazı değişkenlere göre farklılaşıp farklılaşmadığı amaçlanmaktadır. Yapılan bu araştırma, genel tarama modellerinden ilişkisel tarama desenleriyle yürütülmüştür. Araştırmanın evrenini, Dicle Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesinde öğrenim gören öğrenciler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın çalışma örneklemini ise Dicle Üniversitesi Eğitim Fakültesinde farklı sınıf ve bölümlerde öğrenim gören 299 öğrenci oluşturmaktadır. Bu araştırmada veriler “Katılımcı Bilgi Formu”, “Stresle Başa Çıkma Yolları Ölçeği”, “Beck Depresyon Ölçeği” kullanılarak toplanmıştır. Verilerin analizinde 8 farklı istatistiksel analiz kullanılmış olup bu analizler bilgisayarda SPSS 22.00 istatistik paket programı ile yapılmıştır. Araştırmaya katılan öğrenciler sınıf düzeyinde incelendiklerinde öğrencilerin öğrenim gördükleri sınıf ve depresyon düzeyleri arasında anlamlı bir ilişki görülmüştür. 4. sınıf öğrencilerin depresyon düzeylerinin daha yüksek olduğu görülmüştür. Cinsiyet bakımından depresyon düzeyinde kadın adayların depresyon düzeyleri sayısal olarak daha fazla olmasına rağmen bir farklılık olmadığı saptanmıştır. Algılanan ruh sağlığı bakımından değerlendirildiğinde ruh sağlığını kötü olarak nitelendirenlerin depresyon düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca stresle başa çıkma yolları ve depresyon düzeyleri arasında da anlamlı bir ilişki saptanmıştır. Stresle başa çıkma yollarında boyun eğici ve çaresiz yaklaşımı kullananların depresyon düzeylerinin daha yüksek olduğu saptanmıştır. Stresle başa çıkmada kullanılan yöntemler bakımından; iyimser, kendine güvenli yaklaşım, sosyal desteğe başvurma yöntemlerini kullananların depresyon düzeylerinin düşük olduğu, 4. sınıf öğrencilerinin ve stresle başa çıkma yollarından boyun eğici ve çaresiz yaklaşımı sergileyenlerin ise depresyon düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır.
Öğrenciler, çeşitli faktörler nedeniyle okul tükenmişliği geliştirebilirler. Bu çalışma, lise öğrencilerinde akademik beklentilere ilişkin stres, akademik motivasyon ile okul tükenmişliği arasındaki ilişkiyi incelemeyi amaçlamıştır. Çalışma grubunu, Diyarbakır ilinde öğrenimine devam etmekte olan 570 lise öğrencisi oluşturmaktadır. Veri toplama aracı olarak Akademik Beklentilere İlişkin Stres Envanteri, Akademik Güdülenme Ölçeği ve Okul Tükenmişlik Envanteri kullanılmıştır. İstatistiksel analizler pearson korelasyon ve çoklu doğrusal regresyon analizi teknikleriyle gerçekleştirilmiştir. Korelasyon analizi akademik beklentilerine ilişkin stres ile okul tükenmişliği arasında pozitif yönde ve orta düzeyde (r = .45, p < .05), akademik motivasyon ile okul tükenmişliği arasında ise negatif yönde düşük düzeyde (r = -.12, p < .05), anlamlı ilişkiler olduğunu göstermiştir. Ayrıca akademik beklentilere ilişkin stresin okul tükenmişliğini pozitif, akademik motivasyonun ise okul tükenmişliğini negatif yönde anlamlı olarak yordadığı görülmüştür. Çok değişkenli modelde yapılan regresyon analizi sonuçlarında akademik beklentilere ilişkin stres ve akademik motivasyonun okul tükenmişliğine ait varyansın yaklaşık %26’sını açıkladığı saptanmıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonuçlarına göre akademik beklentilere ilişkin stres ve akademik motivasyon, okul tükenmişliğiyle ilişkili en önemli faktörler olarak belirlenmiştir. Bu nedenle akademik beklentilere ilişkin stresi etkileyen faktörleri azaltmak ve akademik motivasyonu artırmak okul tükenmişliğine karşı öğrencilerin korunmasına yardımcı olabilir.
