Pew Research Center reported that Islam is the fastest-growing religious group in the world compared to another religious group. The research mentioned that in 2050 Islam population will be 30% of world’s population while Christian will be silghtly more, 31% of world’s population therefore PEW Research Center predicted that in 2100 Islam population will lead religious group’s population even Christian. Terrorism news, extrimist and radical moslem group and Islamophobic culture almost in every western media platforms that rationally contradictory of reality that Islam is the fastest growing religious group. This research is to analyse terrorism issues in mass media and world’s Islam population. Research conducted in qualitative descriptive by literature research methode. The results of the research showed that despite of negative stereotypes in media who tend to correlated Islam and radical moslem group through several platforms such as movie and news, the decision to join Islam was uninfluenced. The stereotypes in news and movies about terrorism, radical moslem group, and extrimist in media could become an initial point for someone to dig information about Islam although it could not concluded as a pure motivation to join Islam.
Persoalan kerusakan lingkungan dan global warming tidak hanya tentang reaksi aktivitas enviromentalisme, tetapi juga berhadapan dengan tuntutan kapitalisme yang terus meminta bertambahanya kebutuhan hidup manusia. Kebutuhan inilah yang mengundang eksploitasi sumber daya alam secara cepat dan menyeluruh setiap saat di berbagai tempat. Hal itu berdampak pada menurunnya kualitas lingkungan hidup dan bencana alam hingga konflik sosial. Fungsi agama sebagai sumber etika dan moral mendapatkan ruang yang tepat dan signifikan dalam menjawab persoalan di atas. Khususnya sufisme, sebagai sumber nilai-nilai keislaman dan sikap 'menahan diri' dan melihat segala sesuatu ciptaan Allah sebagai bagian dari kuasa-Nya, sehingga melahirkan tanggung jawab moral kepada lingkungan hidup dan alam semesta. Dalam tulisan ini akan menguraikan pemikiran ulang doktrin teolog enviromental yang diikuti oleh pemetaan gerakan lingkungan hidup dari lingkungan muslim dalam beberapa waktu terakhir. Tujuan utama tulisan ini adalah untuk mendorong gagasan utama 'eco sufisme' melalui eco pesantren sehingga tertanam budaya menjadi muslim yang saleh adalah muslim berdedikasi terhadap lingkungan hidup.[The issues of environmental degradation as well as global warming aren't merely about environmentalism reaction's activities, but also dealing with the [106] Kontemplasi, Volume 05 Nomor 01, Agustus 2017demands of capitalism that keep asking the needs of human life. The need invites exploitation of natural resources as quickly and thoroughly at any time in various places. It has an impact on the declining quality of the environment and natural disasters to social conflict. The function of religion as a source of ethics and morals get the right and significant momentum in addressing the issues described above. Sufism, in particular, as a source of Islamic values and attitudes 'restraint' and see everything created by God as part of His power, so that gave birth to its moral responsibility to the environment and the universe. This paper will elaborate the rethinking of the doctrine of enviromental theologians followed by the mapping of the environmental movement of the Muslim's environment in recent time. The main purpose of this paper is to encourage the main idea of "eco-Sufism" through "eco-pesantren", so it ingrained the culture of being devout Muslims are Muslims that dedicated to the environment.
One of many annual traditional Javanese ceremony for celebrating the new year is Kirab Kiai Slamet. This ceremony was held in Surakarta, Central Java by one of greatest Javanese Kingdom, Keraton Surakarta Hadiningrat. A thousand visitors who have come from all over of java just to see this ceremony bring various motives. This paper will elaborate how the perspective of Javanese people interprets their attendance on Kirab Kiai Slamet? One of their motives is berkah, then how they perceive this concept of ‘ngalap berkah’? While berkah is one of the most prevalent religious practices in Indonesia, there are various meaning on it from a diverse group. In an effort to reveal the various interpretation of the concept of ‘berkah’, this paper offers an alternative perspective of the study of religion. Because the study of religion is more dominated by world religion paradigm that rigidly defines ‘religion’ as the structured form of religious tradition, an alternative perspective will be needed. After elaborating the experiment of Kirab Kiai Slamet and framed by some theories of religions, this paper will show how ‘indigenous religion paradigm’ have a positive contribution to the enriching of theories of religions in contemporary issues. Interaksi Perempuan Haid Dengan Alquran: Living Alquran Dengan Pendekatan Fenomelogi Agama. Secara umum, perempun haid tidak diperbolehkan untuk membaca dan membawa Alquran. Namun, beberapa pondok pesantren yang fokus pada menghapal Alquran seringkali memberikan keringanan untuk praktik tersebut. Cara perempuan haid berinteraksi dengan Alquran tidak kaku sebagaimana ketentuan hukum Islam. Terdapat beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi bagaimana santri lebih memilih beragam cara untuk berinteraksi dengan Alquran. Penelitian living Quran ini, menunjukkan keragaman interaksi tersebut salah satunya berdasarkan pengalaman pribadi santri. Metode yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara terhadap pengasuh, pengurus dan santri di dua pesantren, yakni Ponpes Putri Walisongo Jombang dan Ponpes Asy Syafa’atiyyah Blitar. Dengan pendekatan fenomenologi agama, data dibagi menjadi tiga bagian, yakni aspek ideational, aspek behavioral, dan aspek material. Aspek ideational menunjukkan segala yang ideal bagi santri berdasarkan transfer pengetahuan dari ustadz maupun pengasuh serta kebiasaan yang sudah ada di pondok pesantren. Aspek behavioral menunjukan keragaman cara santri mengaji meskipun dalam kondisi haid, seperti membaca dengan suara keras, tetap menyetorkan hapalan, atau sebaliknya. Aspek material, Alquran yang digunakan adalah mushaf Alquran Pojok Menara Kudus terjemah Bahasa Indonesia.
