Penggunaan Buku KIA (Kesehatan Ibu dan Anak) merupakan salah satu strategi pemberdayaan masyarakat teruta¬ma keluarga untuk memelihara kesehatannya dan mendapatkan pelayanan kesehatan ibu dan anak yang berkualitas. Berdasarkan survey awal yang telah dilakukan terhadap ibu-ibu hamil di Puskesmas Abepura, didapatkan hasil bahwa tidak semua ibu hamil membaca buku KIA, ironisnya karena diantara yang tidak membaca tersebut merupakan ibu hamil dengan kehamilan pertama, padahal mereka sendiri belum memiliki pengalaman dalam hal melahirkan, mengasuh dan merawat anak. Jenis penelitian ini adalah survey dengan rancangan Cross Sectional. Populasi berjumlah 77 orang, sedangkan sampel berjumlah 64 orang, teknik pengambilan sampel adalah accidental sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan program SPSS, uji statistik yang digunakan adalah Chi Square pada α=0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tidak terdapat hubungan antara pendidikan, pekerjaan, pengetahuan, aktivitas luar rumah dan media komunikasi dengan rendahnya minat ibu hamil gravida dalam membaca buku KIA di Puskesmas Abepura.
Based on preliminary studies that have been carried out on Jayapura Midwifery students, the results of 30 people who have experienced menstruation, 20 people said the menstrual cycle is irregular and 10 people said the menstrual cycle is regular. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between nutritional status and sports activities with menstrual cycles in midwifery students Department Poltekkes Jayapura. Type of research is quantitative research using cross sectional design. The population is 385 female students and sample is 196 respondents. Technique sampling using simple random sampling. Data is presented by table and and narrative form, the statistikal test is chi-square.The results of bivariate analysis using the chi-square test showed that there is a relationship between nutritional status and the menstrual cycle (ρ=0.008) and there is no relationship between sport activities with the menstrual cycle (ρ = 0.790). Suggestions for students to consume foods that have a balanced nutritional value, routinely do sports activities and avoid stress.
Data tentang kasus HIV/AIDS di Kabupaten Jayapura pada tahun 2017 secara kumulatif sebanyak 2756 kasus, yang terdiri dari kasus HIV sebanyak 1294 kasus (46,9%) dan kasus AIDS sebanyak 1462 kasus (53%), kasus HIV pada ibu hamil dari Januari sampai dengan Desember tahun 2017 terdapat 36 penderita HIV (1,2%) dari 2820 ibu hamil yang melakukan testing HIV (Profil Dinas Kesehatan Kabupaten Jayapura, 2017). Data dari Puskesmas Harapan pada tahun 2017 terdapat 12 ibu hamil yang positif HIV dan pada tahun 2018 terdapat 16 ibu hamil yang positif HIV (Laporan VCT Puskesmas Harapan, 2018). Berdasarkan wawancara yang dilakukan dengan petugas Puskesmas Harapan didapatkan informasi bahwa sampai saat ini belum ada media informasi tentang cara pencegahan penularan HIV/AIDS dari Ibu ke anak. Jenis penelitian adalah kuantitatif dengan rancangan quasy experiment. Populasi berjumlah 64 orang, sedangkan sampel berjumlah 30 orang, masing-masing 15 orang yang mendapatkan buku saku dan 15 orang yang tidak mendapatkan buku saku, teknik pengambilan sampel adalah purposive sampling. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan kuesioner. Pengolahan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan program SPSS, uji statistik yang digunakan adalah uji Mann-Whitney pada α=0,05. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat 14 orang responden yang tidak tahu tentang pencegahan HIV/AIDS dari ibu ke anak, sedangan 16 orang responden tahu, terdapat perbedaan pengetahuan antara kelompok yang diberikan buku saku dengan kelompok yang tidak diberikan buku saku p=0.000
WHO memperkirakan bahwa AIDS telah menyebabkan kematian lebih dari 25 juta orang sejak pertama kali di akui pada tanggal 5 juni 1981 AIDS diklaim telah menyebabkan kematian di Afrika Sub-Sahara, sebanyak 2,4 hingga 3,3 juta jiwa lebih dari 570 juta jiwa di antaranya adalah Ibu hamil dan Anak-anak lebih dari 64% orang yang dengan HIV di Afrika Sub-Sahara lebih tiga per empat (76%) dari semua wanita hidup dengan HIV Indonesia menjadi peringkat ke 20 dengan tingkatan HIV tertinggi, jumlah penduduk Indonesia yang populasinya mencapai 237 juta jiwa (74,7%)di antaranya terinfeksi pada Ibu hamil dan anak-anak. HIV/AIDS di Papua, bukan tidak beralasan hal ini karenakan dari waktu ke waktu angka kasus ini menunjukan peningkatan yang signifikan. Jumlah Provinsi Papua yang hanya 3.207.444 juta jiwa, HIV/AIDS di provinsi Papua yang secara populasi umum menyerang ibu hamil dan bayi dengan jumlah adalah 150 orang bayi (1,87%) dan 321ibu hamil (4,01%) yang terinfeksi. Jenis penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif dengan pendekatan cross sectional study. Populasi sebanyak 655 ibu hamil dan sampel sebanyak 86 ibu hamil. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan data primer. Instrument penelitian data menggunakan kuesioner. Upaya pencegahan dan penularan yang dapat menurunkan risiko penularan dari ibu hamil kebayinya menjadi di bawah 25-40%. Salah satu upaya pencegahan ini menggunakan metode VCT. Kegiatan Pelayanan Pencegahan Penularan HIV dari Ibu ke Anak /Prevention of Mother to Child HIV Transmision/PMTC, merupakan bagian dari pelayanan perawatan dukungan dan pengobatan/CST. Hasil penelitian menunjukan tidak ada hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan kepatuhan dalam melakukan pemeriksaan VCT p = 1,488, tidak ada hubungan antara sikap dengan kepatuhan dalam melakukan pemeriksaan VCT p = 1,818. Kesimpulan penelitian adalah tidak terdapat hubungan pengetahuan ibu hamil terhadap pemeriksaan VCT dan tidak terdapat sikap ibu hamil terhadap pemeriksaan VCT.
