In this paper, a configuration procedure of a transportation infrastructure system for GNSS based very precise real-time positioning is proposed. This infrastructure system consists of several receiving station, a central station, and communication sub-systems. The required performance, design, implementation and verification of each sub-system are explained respectively. The required performance can be broken down into accuracy, integrity, stability, processing time. The design of the each sub-system is performed in accordance with the required performance and each sub-system is built with regard to the design. Lastly the implemented system is verified in comparison with the required performance.
: GPS signal delay that caused by dry gases and water vapor in troposphere is a main error source of GPS point positioning and it must be eliminated for precise point positioning. In this paper, we implemented to generate tropospheric delay grid map over the Korean Peninsula based on post-processing method by using the GPS permanent station network in order to determine the availability of tropospheric delay generation algorithm. GIPSY 5.0 was used for GPS data process and nationwide AWS observation network was used to calculate the amount of dry delay and wet delay separately. As the result of grid map's accuracy analysis, the RMSE between grid map data and GPS site data was 0.7mm in ZHD, 7.6mm in ZWD and 8.5mm in ZTD. After grid map accuracy analysis, we applied the calculated tropospheric delay grid map to single frequency relative positioning algorithm and analyzed the positioning accuracy enhancement. As the result, positioning accuracy was improved up to 36% in case of relative positioning of Suwon(SUWN) and Mokpo (MKPO), that the baseline distance is about 297km.
A Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) was developed for military purposes, but it is currently also used in various civilian fields (e.g., land transportation, shipping, and aviation) (Son et al. 2013). GNSS can determine the position of a receiver using the measurements of signals received from at least four satellites. Accordingly, GNSS is used for positioning in relation to traffic, geodetic survey, and surveying, and also widely used for time synchronization, weather monitoring, etc. (Lee et al. 2013). The economic and social importance of GNSS is well known. Therefore, many countries in the world have made efforts to establish their own GNSS. Starting with the Global Positioning System (GPS) from the United States, the development of the GLObal NAvigation Satellite System from Russia has been completed; and Galileo from Europe,
