Objetiva-se caracterizar os atendimentos psicossociais prestados a profissionais de enfermagem em um hospital universitário para o manejo de problemas de saúde mental decorrentes da pandemia de COVID-19. Estudo quantitativo, observacional transversal, com questionário de levantamento sobre demandas aos profissionais de enfermagem no enfrentamento da COVID-19. Os dados foram analisados por meio do uso de coeficientes de correlação de Pearson com 5% de significância e ajustado em modelo linear, utilizando o software estatístico Statistical Package for the Social Sciences 20. Apresentaram diferença significativa as variáveis Idade (±10,70%) e Intervenções Psicossociais para o Manejo de Ansiedade e Estresse (95,08%). A amostra foi composta por 61 profissionais de enfermagem, sendo a maioria mulheres (80%) com idade média de 33 anos. Ressalta-se a importância do atendimento psicossocial voltado aos profissionais de enfermagem para o manejo nos problemas de Saúde Mental, seja durante ou após a pandemia, buscando intervenções para minimizar o sofrimento destes trabalhadores.
O uso de terapias complementares vêm sendo justificado na literatura pelo princípio da integralidade na atenção ao processo saúde-doença, colaborando com a promoção e recuperação da saúde. Ao distanciar-se de modelos explicativos biologicistas, as terapias complementares vão de encontro com os princípios da atenção psicossocial. Objetivou-se neste estudo caracterizar a implementação do fluxo de usuários desenvolvido na Universidade Estadual de Ponta Grossa (UEPG) entre o Programa UEPG Abraça, Programa de Extensão voltado para o atendimento ambulatorial em Saúde Mental e outro programa voltado para yôga. Método: Realizou-se revisão de literatura que contextualizou a importância do uso de terapias complementares como possível apoio às estratégias de promoção de Saúde Mental no contexto universitário; no segundo passo, caracterizou-se um panorama institucional de implementação do Programa UEPG Abraça; e por fim, descreveu-se a articulação entre ambos os Projetos de Extensão na integralidade do cuidado em Saúde Mental da comunidade universitária. Resultados: A literatura é escassa quanto a estudos específicos que discorram sobre o uso de terapias complementares na promoção de Saúde Mental de universitários, evidenciando a possibilidade de investigação científica da área. Nos primeiros oito meses de integração entre os Programas de Extensão, foram encaminhados trinta e dois participantes do Programa UEPG Abraça para a prática de yôga. A experiência inicial indica impacto da prática do yôga em sintomas ansiosos, autoestima, autocuidado, concentração e formação de vínculos do público alvo.
IntroductionThroughout the COVID-19 Pandemic, it was recommended to implement mental health care services mediated by Information and Communication Technologies to alleviate the suffering caused by the social distance.ObjectivesTo characterize the demands and the possibilities of psychological support at the Call Center of a Brazilian public university, which aims clarifying doubts about COVID-19 and to forward suspected cases of contamination.MethodsCross-sectional, quantitative study with secondary data. The data came from 60 Psychological Support attendance records, carried out over 24 weeks. The data were analyzed descriptively and by the paired test and McNemar.ResultsThe majority of consultations were for people aged among 51 and 60 years (21.7%). The main demands were social (40.0%), related to feelings (40.0%) and self-reported diagnosis (18.3%), with each service mostly split into two (31.7%) or three (31.7%) conducts. There was a significant increase in the average number of reports of symptoms of psychological distress experienced during the pandemic (p <0.001), including changes in sleep patterns (p <0.001) and appetite (p = 0.002), physical symptoms (p = 0.001), physical and emotional discomfort (p <0.001) and crying / depressive mood attacks (p = 0.002). As conducts, there was a predominance of psychoeducation (78.3%) and strategies for managing suffering (68.3%) at the expense of referrals to specialized in-person services (21.7%).ConclusionsThere were several demands of the evaluated Psychological Support service, which presents an important and promising strategy for meeting the demands of psychological distress in the midst of Pandemic, especially for the adult and elderly public.
A família é um dos alicerces primordiais na construção social do individuo ofertando a sensação de pertencimento e acolhimento. Ao passar pelo processo de hospitalização, diversas alterações são percebidas e vivenciadas por esse grupo, podendo acarretar em sofrimento mental. Este artigo traz reflexões resultantes de uma pesquisa realizada com as famílias que tiveram os seus membros hospitalizados devido a COVID -19. Objetivouse identificar as estratégias de enfrentamento em Saúde Mental dos familiares dos pacientes internados na ala COVID-19 em um hospital universitário regional, verificando os modos de coping utilizado pelas famílias. O presente artigo tem como embasamento teórico a Teoria de Coping de Lazarus e Folkmann (1984), correlacionando as estratégias para enfrentamento do estresse categorizadas pelos pesquisadores e as famílias participantes. IntroductionIn 2018, it was implanted in a Brazilian public university, the UEPG Abraça Extension Program, which has as objectives to realize psychosocial care and accompaniment, offer psychotherapies and therapeutic groups to the university community, that is, students, professors and university staff to suicide prevention, coping with mental disorders and the problematic use of alcohol and other drugs. The Program has a multi-professional team composed of nurses, social worker, psychologists and psychiatrists, in an exclusive environment, thus guaranteeing comfort and secrecy to users.ObjectivesTo characterize the socio-demographic and clinical profile of users assisted by the UEPG Abraça Program and to disclose the importance of the service for the promotion of Mental Health.MethodsQualitative, quantitative, descriptive study, with a structured questionnaire as the research instrument. The collection took place in 2019 and the target audience were users who sought psychological care.ResultsThere were 469 admissions/visits and 35 of them continued with individual visits in 2020. The majority of users were female (58%) and had the age group between 17 and 20 years. The main mental health problems identified were anxiety, self-knowledge and university-related problems such as interpersonal conflicts and difficulties in the work process.
