Aktiviti fizikal dan kecergasan merupakan perkara yang perlu diambil berat dalam kehidupan seharian bagi menjamin kesihatan tubuh badan serta mendapat Indeks Jisim Badan (BMI) yang ideal. Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mengkaji hubungan antara aktiviti fizikal dan indeks jisim badan (BMI) murid lelaki sekolah menengah di luar bandar. Populasi kajian terdiri daripada (390) pelajar lelaki tingkatan 5 di daerah Tampin. Kajian berbentuk tinjauan ini menggunakan borang soal selidik yang diubahsuai daripada Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) oleh World Health Organization (WHO). Kajian ini mendapati bahawa murid-murid lelaki di daerah Tampin adalah tidak aktif dalam aktiviti fizikal walaupun memiliki bacaan BMI normal. Kesannya, mereka cenderung untuk memiliki risiko kesihatan yang rendah.
Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk melihat hubungan antara tahap penglibatan aktiviti fizikal dengan tahap BMI murid perempuan sekolah luar bandar di daerah Rembau, Negeri Sembilan semasa wabak pandemik COVID-19. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam kajian ini adalah soal selidik Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) oleh (WHO, 2002) yang telah diubahsuai mengikut kesesuaian kajian. Populasi kajian adalah dalam kalangan murid yang berusia 16 hingga 17 tahun dan jumlah sampel kajian seramai 312 orang murid. Dapatan kajian mendapati tahap penglibatan aktiviti fizikal murid perempuan adalah diklasifikasikan sebagai aktif. Tahap BMI pula menunjukkan bahawa murid berada dalam kategori berat badan normal iaitu 69.2% dengan min = 21.56kgm-2. Hasil ujian korelasi pearson pula mendapati bahawa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tahap penglibatan aktiviti fizikal dengan tahap BMI dalam kalangan murid iaitu r = 0.019; p > 0.05 = 0.732. Keseluruhannya, penglibatan aktiviti fizikal murid perempuan sekolah menengah luar bandar di daerah Rembau tidak memberikan kesan terhadap tahap BMI semasa pandemik COVID-19. Penglibatan awal murid dalam aktiviti fizikal adalah salah satu komponen yang penting dalam memperoleh kesihatan yang baik dan mengelakkan diri daripada mendapat risiko penyakit tidak berjangkit. Pihak sekolah dan guru Pendidikan Jasmani dan Pendidikan Kesihatan perlu merangka program yang boleh menarik minat murid dalam melibatkan diri lebih aktif dalam aktiviti fizikal semasa pandemik COVID-19 ini.
Penglibatan aktiviti fizikal dan kecergasan fizikal merupakan komponen yang memainkan peranan yang penting dalam menjamin kesihatan pelajar. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji tahap aktiviti fizikal dan kesihatan fizikal dalam kalangan murid perempuan kaum Iban di Sarawak. Sampel kajian adalah seramai 239 orang yang terdiri daripada murid perempuan yang berbangsa Iban di daerah Meradong, Sarawak. Instrumen kajian ini adalah Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) versi II. Kajian ini menggunakan kaedah kajian tinjauan silang-rentas dengan menggunakan borang soal selidik. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan bahawa tahap penglibatan aktiviti fizikal keseluruhan murid perempuan adalah aktif iaitu 108 orang. Seramai 69 orang murid perempuan aktif dalam aktiviti fizikal rendah dan 82 orang murid perempuan aktif dalam aktiviti fizikal berintensiti sederhana. Tahap indeks jisim badan murid adalah dalam kategori normal iaitu 111 orang. Analisis kolerasi pearson menunjukkan bahawa tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara tahap aktiviti fizikal MPA (r=0.013; p > 0.05 = 0.756), VPA (r=-0.020; p > 0.05 = 0.759 dan TPA (r=0.013; p > 0.05 = 0.756) dengan (BMI) dalam kalangan murid Iban iaitu r = 0.025; p > 0.05 = 0.700. Hasil kajian menyimpulkan bahawa penglibatan aktiviti fizikal yang aktif dalam melakukan aktiviti fizikal namun tidak mempunyai perkaitan hubungan dengan BMI semasa pandemik.
Penglibatan aktiviti fizikal secara aktif mendorong untuk mendapatkan BMI yang ideal dan dapat mengurangkan risiko pelbagai penyakit kronik terutamanya murid sekolah di kawasan luar bandar semasa pandemik COVID-19. Tujuan kajian ini adalah untuk mengkaji hubungan antara tahap penglibatan aktiviti fizikal dan Indeks Jisim Badan (BMI) murid perempuan sekolah menengah luar bandar di daerah Meradong, Sarawak semasa pandemik COVID-19. Populasi kajian melibatkan murid perempuan yang berusia 16 hingga 19 tahun di daerah Meradong. Seramai 372 orang murid telah dipilih sebagai sampel kajian dengan menggunakan kaedah pensampelan berstrata. Reka bentuk kajian yang digunakan adalah bentuk kajian tinjauan silang-rentas melalui borang soal selidik Global Physical Activity Questionnaire (GPAQ) versi 2. Dapatan kajian menunjukkan TPA murid perempuan adalah pada tahap aktif (min =304.25 minit/minggu; 1604.57 kcal). Bagi aktiviti fizikal MPA pada tahap aktif (min = 207.36 minit/minggu) manakala aktiviti fizikal VPA pada tahap tidak aktif (min = 96.89 minit/minggu). Bagi tahap BMI menunjukkan bahawa secara keseluruhannya murid berada dalam kategori normal iaitu 70.2% dengan nilai min = 22.14 kgm-2. Hasil ujian korelasi Pearson pula menunjukkan bahawa tahap penglibatan aktiviti fizikal tidak mempunyai hubungan yang signifikan terhadap BMI dalam kalangan murid perempuan iaitu r = 0.001; p > 0.05 = 0.982. Penglibatan aktiviti fizikal bagi murid perempuan ini tidak memberikan kesan kepada nilai tahap BMI mereka semasa musim pandemik COVID-19, namun mereka perlu kekal aktif bagi menjaga tahap kesihatan yang optimum
