Adolescence is often a period of turmoil. The COVID-19 pandemic has increased adolescents' difficulty due to mental health consequences that may affect their developmental milestones. This study constructed and empirically tested a theoretical model of three predictive factors (cyberbullying, abuse, and screen time) and stress as the mediating factor in adolescent non-suicidal self-injury (NSSI). Structural equation model (SEM) analysis was applied to investigate stress as a mediating factor in the relationship between adolescent NSSI and cyberbullying, abuse, and screen time. This cross-sectional study used a “crowdsourcing” sample collection method to recruit 464 adolescents aged 11–17 years who were administered a questionnaire comprising scales on cyberbullying, abuse, screen time, stress, and NSSI. All scales had construct reliabilities ranging from 0.759 to 0.958. SEM statistical analysis was performed using Lisrel version 8.8 (Scientific Software International, USA) for Windows (Microsoft Corporation, Redmond, WA, USA). The mean (± SD) age of the cohort was 14.61 ± 1.65 years, and consisted of 66.7% females. Secondary high school was the highest educational background (58%). The study found that cyberbullying and abuse were direct positive predictors (critical t-value for the path > 1.96; p < 0.05) of adolescent NSSI; however, screen time did not have any direct relationship. Furthermore, stress was a significant full mediating factor of screen time and a partial mediating factor of cyberbullying and abuse in the relationship with adolescent NSSI (critical t-value of the path = 5.27; p < 0.05). Cyberbullying, screen time, and abuse with the mediating effect of stress could explain 48% of the variance in adolescent NSSI (R2 = 0.48). Adolescent mental health prevention and promotion programs need to be redesigned during the current COVID-19 pandemic to manage their stress and minimize the mental health consequences of cyberbullying, abuse, and inappropriately increased screen time.

This research is a correlational study using quantitative method of distributing questionnaires to students of class X, XI and XII in X Senior High School in the area of West Jakarta and Y Senior High School in North Jakarta. Student-teacher trust questionnaire refers to Tchannen-Moran’s study, while school well-being questionnaire refers to Konu and Rimpelä’s study. The research is using purposive sampling technique involving 486 students. The results of the study shows that student-teacher trust has a significant positive relationship with school well-being, so that the higher student-teacher trust, the higher the school well-being. As additional, this study also shows that there is no significant difference in terms of gender.

This study has explored the role of cultural intelligence as a mediator in the relationship between the openness to experience personality trait and job satisfaction among expatriates. Expatriates were required to fill up online questionnaires to measure all the three variables. This study used a regression and bootstrapping analysis to test the hypothesis in a sample of 265 expatriates. The result indicates that the variance in job satisfaction accountable to the openness to experience personality trait is fully mediated through cultural intelligence. This finding provides evidence that possessing cultural intelligence acts as a mechanism in which an open expatriate could feel satisfied with his or her job. Moreover, this study discusses the practical implications especially for multinational companies and suggests some future research directions.

Kecerdasan emosional adalah kemampuan menerapkan daya dan kepekaan emosi. Prestasi akademik adalah hasil proses belajar. Job performance adalah penilaian dan evaluasi tugas. Belum ada penelitian mengenai hubungan antara kecerdasan emosi, prestasi akademik, dan job performance pada konteks organisasi kemahasiswaan di Indonesia sehingga tujuan penelitian adalah mengetahui hubungan ketiga variabel di organisasi kemahasiswaan. Penelitian ini melibatkan 284 mahasiswa yang terlibat di organisasi kemahasiswaan (DPM dan BEM). Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan tiga temuan utama. Pertama, ada hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dengan job performance ditinjau dari diri sendiri (r=0,338, p=0,013) tetapi tidak ada hubungan ditinjau dari rekan kerja (r = 0,080, p = 0,177), maupun dari ketua (r= -0,108, p= 0,069). Kedua, ada hubungan antara prestasi akademik dengan job performance ditinjau dari ketua organisasi kemahasiswaan (r = 0,147; p= 0,00), tetapi tidak ada hubungan jika ditinjau dari diri sendiri (r= -0,013, p = 0,830), maupun rekan kerja (r= 0,056, p= 0,352). Ketiga, tidak terdapat hubungan antara kecerdasan emosional dan prestasi akademik pada mahasiswa yang terlibat di organisasi kemahasiswaan (r= -0,13, p= 0,83).
