AbstractEven though, sociospatial segregation is a common topic in sociology or geography, in Mexico there are few studies on the topic in Mexico. This can due to the lack of a clear theoretical background of the concept and/or the lack of specific data for measure it. In this paper an approximation to the concept is presented, specifically to both the theoretical and empirical construction of the concept. Also, a research agenda for the Mexican cities is presented.
