Con el objetivo de valorar como la gestión por procesos influye en la competitividad y organización de las pequeñas y medianas empresas con más de cinco años en actividad y pertenecientes al sector comercio y servicio, se propuso un estudio que considera las tendencias globales que orientan y sugieren mayor dinámica desde los componentes organizacionales. Se planteó una investigación cualitativa apoyada en la revisión documental que resultó valiosa para contrastar los referentes bibliográficos con la actividad del sector real. Los principales hallazgos destacan que la competitividad es un tema que con el pasar de los años mantiene su vigencia en las organizaciones empresariales y está en continua evolución. Como resultado final se encontró que, la gestión por procesos aporta de manera significativa al impulso de la competitividad empresarial, orientándola hacia la coordinación y explotación eficiente de los recursos que se dispone en la organización.
Se estudia y analiza las condiciones de la gestión del talento humano que favorecen el desarrollo de capacidades dinámicas de un grupo de directivos de empresas. Se planteó una investigación cuantitativa, mediante la aplicación de una encuesta compuesta por catorce ítems medidos en una escala tipo Likert, dirigida a setenta líderes ubicados en empresas de diferentes sectores de la economía en la ciudad de Barranquilla, Colombia. Los resultados muestran que el espacio compartido de conocimiento y el estilo de dirección de liderazgo que promueva la transformación y el cambio tienen un impacto positivo en el desarrollo de capacidades dinámicas de los líderes, para adaptarse a las condiciones cambiantes de entorno.Palabras clave: capacidades dinámicas; gestión del talento humano; estilo de dirección.
The purpose of this study was to analyze the capacity of innovation in customer service processes of enrollment departments in higher education institutions from Barranquilla (Colombia). This research was of quantitative approach and correlational in scope. A survey structured with thirty items on a Likert-type scale was applied to 398 students to assess the relationship between innovation capacity and customer service. The statistical analysis showed relevant associations between innovation capacity factors and customer service factors. However, the most significant relationships were found in the exploitation and ambidexterity factors, with exploitation being presented to a lesser degree. It is concluded that the capacity for innovation in the institutions sampled is developed to a great extent. However, it is important to continue working on offering an exceptional service that fully satisfies client needs.
This article emphasizes entrepreneurial skills in adolescents, in order to determine the relationship between entrepreneurial skills (dependent variable) and the key factors for their development: personal, social, and educational (independent variables). It has an empirical‒analytical design which is explanatory in nature. After the design, validation, and application of the evaluation instrument, the estimation was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). The results show great impact of potential entrepreneurial capacity on effective entrepreneurial capacity, determined by the direct effect of personal traits and life skills, the family as a moderating element, as well as the mediating role of entrepreneurship training processes. The complex nature of entrepreneurship is highlighted, which is influenced by multiple factors as possible boosters for the success of entrepreneurial initiatives.
The university-business-state relationship, from the point of view of the innovation capacity of the higher education institutions in Barranquilla, Colombia is analyzed. A review of the activities that involve relations with the external sector made by this type of institutions was proposed. A qualitative research was carried on based on the documentary review that was valuable to contrast the bibliographic references with the actions carried out by the institutions. The main findings indicate that according to the type of academic character, Universities are the institutions that strengthen their teaching processes as their traditional mission, and also develop research and extension activities that contribute to the development of the country. As a final result, it was found that the triad university-business-state is the appropriate alliance for the development of innovations that respond to the needs and opportunities of the surroundings.
