Nowadays smart mobile phones in the world; important information and communication technologies. Previously, only mobile phones capable of sending calls and text/ picture messages; it now provides many functions including email and Internet access, shortrange wireless communications, gaming and entertainment, listening to music, business, social networking, TV viewing, photography, video capture or driving directions, and using GPS. As such, mobile phones have become one of the most widely used technologies in human history. Currently, more than 4.5 billion people worldwide use mobile phones (www.trthaber.com). In many ways, these technology wonders make life easier for people; excessive use may eventually become addictive. Compared to other means of communication, smartphone carrying and connection convenience; can make addiction stronger. This research aims to reveal the smartphone addiction level, relationship between addiction and personality traits and usage patterns of the young and dynamic part of the society like university students. In the study where field research method was used; The data were collected from 415 participants by face to face questionnaire technique. As a result of the study, it was found that university students had moderate addiction. Women's addiction levels are higher than men's. As daily smartphone usage increases, there is an increase in addiction. Personality traits include Neuroticism and Conscientiousness; is a negative significant determinant of smartphone addiction.
Terör, insanlar üzerinde korku yaratmak amacıyla gerçekleştirilen ve temelinde şiddet olan sembolik bir eylemdir. İnsanlık tarihinin her döneminde meydana gelen terör eylemlerinin medya üzerindeki yansıması ise medya kuruluşlarının benimsemiş oldukları yayın politikalarına göre farklılık göstermektedir. Bu farklılık, kamuoyunun bilgilendirilme sürecinde terör haberlerinde kullanılan dil ve söylemde ortaya çıkmaktadır. Bu çerçevede terör eylemlerinin haberleştirilmesinde tercih edilen dilin kullanımı ile ortaya çıkan söylemin çözümlenmesi ise gazete yayın politikalarının haberin dili ve söylemine etkisini anlamak açısından önemlidir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, farklı siyasal tercihlere yönelik habercilik yapan medya kuruluşlarının editoryal politikalarının, terör eylemlerinin haberleştirilme sürecinde haber dili ve söylemine etkisini ortaya koymaktır. Bu bağlamda, 15 Mart 2019'da Yeni Zelanda'da Cuma namazı sırasında iki camiye düzenlenen silahlı terör saldırısı ile ilgili yazılı basında yer alan haberlerin okuyucuya nasıl sunulduğu ve nasıl bir söylem geliştirildiği çalışmanın ana konusunu oluşturmaktadır. Bu doğrultuda, 16 Mart-23 Mart 2019 tarihleri arasında yayın politikaları birbirinden farklı olan Cumhuriyet, Milli Gazete, Orta Doğu, Sözcü, Yeni Akit ve Yeni Şafak olmak üzere toplam altı gazete belirlenmiştir. Seçilen gazetelerin olayla ilgili yaptığı tüm baş sayfa haberlerinin başlıkları, içerikleri, görselleri ve gazetelerin olaya ilişkin bakış açıları Teun van Dijk'ın sistematikleştirdiği söylem analizi yöntemi ile analiz edilmiştir. Araştırma sonucunda aynı olayın, birbirinden farklı bakış açılarına sahip gazetelerde, farklı söylem kalıpları ile haberleştirildiği, olaya ilişkin basının vermiş olduğu önemin kısa zamanda azaldığı tespit edilmiştir.
In the historical journey of humanity, the phenomenon of politics has always been at the center of social life. Political knowledge constitutes an important dimension of the relationship between politics and society. Media plays an important role in individuals' having the right information on political issues and problems. Compared to traditional media, social media brings many conveniences and responds to the needs of the political information that people have previously gone through traditional communication channels. This study, which was built on the method of literature review based on scientific observation, discusses the role of social media in the process of political information through the example of Twitter. The study, supported by current research examples on the subject, revealed that Twitter, a text-oriented social network, is an important social media environment that users apply for political information.
