This study aims to describe the application of the experimental method to improve science learning outcomes for second grade elementary school students. This type of research is action research. This study uses a qualitative descriptive analysis technique. The results of the research show that increasing activeness and learning outcomes through the application of experimental methods to science subjects has been successful. This can be proven by the results of cycle tests showing a significant increase as evidenced by an increase in activity and student learning outcomes. The percentage of completeness of student learning outcomes based on preliminary data is in the good category with a percentage of 63.92%. First cycle of research it increased to a good category with a percentage of 73.54% and in the second cycle it became a very good category with a percentage of 80.13% which had achieved the KKM value that had been set.
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat apakah pembelajaran tematik dapat meningkatkan pendidikan karakter peserta didik di Kota Medan. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian tindakan kelas. Sebagai populasi dan sampelnya adalah siswa Kelas 1 yang terdapat pada semester ganjil tahun ajaran 2021/2022 dengan jumlah keseluruhan 27 orang (total sampling). Yang terdiri dari 13 laki-laki dan 14 perempuan serta memiliki latar belakang yang berbeda-beda. Pada pelaksanaan atau pemberian tindakan siklus I hasilnya menunjukan bahwa dari jumlah siswa 27 orang siswa, 11 orang (40,74%) termasuk kategori baik dan cukup sebesar 16 siswa (59,26%). Pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan dimana karakter siswa meningkat dengan melihat jumlah siswa sebesar 20 orang termasuk kategori sangat baik dengan persentase sebesar 74,07% sedangkan sisanya sebanyak 7 orang termasuk pada kategori baik yaitu sebesar 25,93%. mengalami peningkatan dan bila dibandingkan dengan capaian silkus I maka dapat dikatakan pada siklus II sudah mencapai hasil yang diharapkan dan telah mencapai target. Kesimpulan bahwa penerapan pembelajaran tematik dapat meningkatkan pendidikan karakter siswa Kota Medan serta berdampak positif dan dapat meningkatkan karakter siswa.
This study aims to determine the students' abilities and the factors that cause students' learning difficulties in materializing the behavior of the national spirit in life in the field of Civics study in class XI of SMA Swasta Cerdas Bangsa for the Academic Year 2020/2021. This research was conducted at SMA Swasta Cerdas Bangsa with a sample of 32 students from SMA class XI IPA. This type of research is descriptive quantitative research. The data collection instruments used are, questionnaires and tests. After analyzing the data on the results of the study, it was found that the students' ability to materialize the behavior of the national spirit in life in the Civics study field, obtained an average score of 71.11 and the criteria were quite capable. The results showed that the factors causing learning difficulties for Class XI IPA students of SMA Swasta Cerdas Bangsa for the Academic Year 2020/2021 in the Civics Study on Materials Realizing the behavior of the national spirit in life was an internal factor from the students themselves, namely the lack of ability to understand the material given by the teacher. by online. External factors are also the cause of student learning difficulties, namely the lack of learning facilities available to students, lack of attention from parents in the online learning system that is being implemented in the world of education.
