UNO EN CONSTRUCCIONES GENÉRICAS 1. En un estudio reciente 1 sobre los procedimientos utilizados en español para la expresión de la impersonalidad, A. Uorente plantea varios problemas no resueltos aún: falta, entre otras cosas, una explicación satisfactoria de las construcciones con uno que sea capaz de dar cuenta tanto de los empleos de esta forma como de las incompatibilidades que presenta. Nos proponemos en el presente trabajo examinar algunas de las características de la construcción impersonal o genérica con uno, con la intención última de justificar, al menos parcialmente, estos empleos del pronombre uno. 1.1. En latín, unus es un adjetivo utilizado para marcar la singularidad del individuo designado por el nombre al que acompafia, con exclusión de todos los demás entes potencialmente designables por tal nombre 2 • Y puesto que la designación de un individuo con el nombre al que acompafia unus no separa tal individuo de los restantes de su clase mediante ningún rasgo determinado, se llega a indicar fácilmente un individuo cualquiera, indistinto dentro de la clase, aunque nada más que uno. Unus compite así con aliquis y puede, como esta última forma, recibir plural 3 •
En el artículo se estudian neologismos humorísticos frecuentes en la literatura barroca española, diferenciándolos de aquellos otros en los que la ruptura normativa que da lugar a efectos cómicos. Se estudia el tratamiento que la semántica cognitiva hace de los procedimientos de composición y derivación de tales neologismos. La formación de neologismos se presenta como una combinación de atributos de categorías que pertenecen a marcos conceptuales incompatibles. También se examinan los neologismos en los que están implicadas bases metafóricas y equívocas. Finalmente, se explica que los procesos definidos por la semántica cognitiva son paralelos a los asumidos en la noción barroca de concepto.
