Objetivo: verificar as ações desenvolvidas pelos profissionais de enfermagem na assistência às gestantes em unidades de atenção primária à saúde. Métodos: estudo descritivo e transversal realizado em um município do Sul de Minas Gerais, que acompanhou 134 gestantes. O levantamento das ações desempenhadas pelos nove profissionais ocorreu por meio da observação sistemática e utilizou-se um instrumento que abordava as melhores evidências científicas da prática obstétrica. A análise foi apresentada por meio de tabelas de contingência, frequência absoluta e percentual. Resultados: dentre as ações realizadas na pré-consulta a aferição da pressão arterial foi de 97,7%. Quanto às orientações realizadas pelos profissionais sobre o aleitamento materno e teste do pezinho constatou-se uma percentagem de 30,59% e 74,35%, respectivamente. Conclusão: constata-se que os profissionais desenvolvem a consulta de pré-natal de forma incompleta. Ressalta-se que a educação permanente voltada para as competências essenciais em obstetrícia pode ofertar uma assistência integral e de qualidade.
RESUMO:Este estudo objetivou desvelar os sentimentos da primípara frente ao cuidado com o recém-nascido utilizando-se a metodologia qualitativa segundo a Trajetória Fenomenológica. Foram entrevistadas 11 primíparas da cidade de AlfenasMinas Gerais empregando-se a seguinte questão: O que é para você cuidar do seu recém-nascido? A convergência das unidades de significado originou três categorias: Sentimentos ao cuidar do recém-nascido; Cuidado físico com o recém-nascido; Sentimentos da mulher em relação ao companheiro frente ao cuidado com o recém-nascido. As primíparas denotam uma gama de sentimentos positivos sobre a experiência de cuidar do seu filho e os discursos revelam que, mesmo diante do medo e da insegurança se sentem capazes de desenvolver funções maternas frente ao cuidar. Las primíparas denotan una gama de sentimientos positivos sobre la experiencia de cuidar de su hijo y los discursos revelan que, mismo delante del miedo y de la inseguridad, se sienten capaces de desarrollar funciones maternas delante del cuidar.
Objetivo: caracterizar a assistência obstétrica vivenciada por docentes de uma Universidade Pública de Minas Gerais, durante a última experiência do processo de parto e nascimento em ambiente hospitalar. Metodologia: estudo descritivo transversal quantitativo. A coleta de dados correu nos meses de dezembro/ 2015 a fevereiro/ 2016, com 40 docentes, usando um questionário de auto preenchimento. Para a análise dos dados utilizou-se o teste Mann-Whiteney, definido com 5% de significância. Resultados: a via de parto de maior frequência foi a cesariana com 95% (38). A escolha do acompanhante foi possível para 92,5% (37). Na associação entre as variáveis escolha do acompanhante com a idade por ocasião do último parto, apresentou resultado estatisticamente significativo. Conclusão: pode-se ressaltar a necessidade de refletir quanto à assistência prestada à mulher durante o processo de parto e nascimento sendo uma das formas de garantir a maternidade segura e humanizada.
