<p style="text-align: justify;">This study aimed to describe the differences in students' creative thinking skills in a problem-based learning model with scaffolding in the biochemistry course. This study was designed using a quantitative explanatory research design with a sample of 113 students of the Jambi University Chemistry Education Study Program. In this study, the researcher used the experimental class and control class. The sampling technique used is total sampling and purposive sampling. The research data was taken by observation, test, and interview methods. The quantitative data analysis used was the ANOVA test and continued with the Post-Hoc Scheffe’s test. The findings of this study indicate that the results of the ANOVA test indicate a significant difference in the average creative thinking results in terms of psychomotor aspects with the acquisition of significance scores of 0.000. In addition, the results of this study indicate that class A students have higher creative thinking skills than class B and class C. This is because class A students use a problem-based learning model integrated with scaffolding in their learning.</p>
Curcuma xanthorriza roxb. or commonly known as ginger is a plant that grows in the tropics which is known as a million benefits plant, one of which is for the treatment of Arthritis. The main active compounds that act as anti-inflammatory which refer to arthritis are curcumin and demethoxycurcumin. The purpose of this study was to analyze the active compounds contained in ginger which play an important role in the treatment of arthritis. Bioinformatics analysis was carried out using the ChemOffice 2016 software using the molecular mechanics method. The 2-dimensional structure analysis uses the ChemDraw program, while the 3-dimensional structure analysis uses the Chem3D program. From the data optimization results using the molecular mechanics method, the following results are obtained: The total energy produced in the compounds curcumin, d-camphor, demethoxycurcumin, p-tolymethilcarbinol, starch, respectively 17.4573 kcal / mol; 29,2006 kcal / mol; 13.8948 kcal / mol; -0.6574 kcal / mol; and 29,6089 kcal / mol. Based on the research data obtained, it can be concluded that the active compounds curcumin and demethoxycurcumin are compounds that act as anti-inflammatory triggers for arthritis. The number of trees or breadfruit plants in West Sumatra increases every year. Currently the only part of the breadfruit tree that is widely used is the fruit, while the leaves are underutilized and only become waste. Breadfruit leaves contain flavonoids, alkaloids, saponins, and tannins which function as antibacterial. Based on these data, breadfruit leaves, which were originally only used as waste, can be innovated into a new breakthrough, namely the main ingredient for making soap. In addition, as we all know, it is very important to regularly wash our hands with soap, especially during a pandemic like today. However, getting children used to washing their hands regularly with soap is quite difficult for parents. It takes patience and a more serious and earnest effort for this to be achieved. One way is to make soap that attracts children's attention. Scalila Surprise Hand Soap is made by extracting breadfruit leaves and then mixing it with pour and melt soap base that has been melted. Then, it is given dye and essential oil as a soap fragrance and poured into the mold. This product has a unique and cute shape of fruits and animals. Indonesia is rich in natural resources. One of them is Pangasius, also known as “Ikan Patin” in Indonesia, a freshwater fish. Ikan Patin has a high potential for cultivation in Indonesia. Ikan Patin, as a daily consumption fish, contains calorie and protein, low sodium, calcium, zinc, and mineral, all of which are healthy and make this type of fish easily digestible by the human body. Ikan Patin can also help to prevent cardiovascular disease by lowering cholesterol, preventing a heart attack, and stroke. There is a large community of Ikan Patin cultivators in Pulau Gadang Village, Indonesia. Fried, curry, and smoked Ikan Patin are the most common type of Ikan Patin processed products. From those common methods of processing Ikan Patin, it can be transformed into one of the most well-known types of food in the world, which is nugget. Nuggets are typically made from chicken or beef meat, which is what distinguishes this product. Nugget Ikan Patin, also known as Nugtin Mozahos, the brand of this product, is made from combination of Ikan Patin meat, carrots, and mozzarella cheese. The origins of this innovation were aimed at children who dislike fish but enjoy cheese and nuggets. This product's main ingredients are Ikan Patin meat, carrot, egg, flour, and a special blend of spices that make it very tasty when served with honey sauce. Consuming this product can provide a lot of nutrition, especially for those who dislike both fish and carrots, which can be compared to the nutrition that comes from chicken and beef meat.
