This article attempts to describe the value of local wisdom found in Sayu Wiwit folklore as a means for revitalizing behavioral education. This study is conducted by using qualitative descriptive approach with the object of research is the value of local wisdom in Sayu Wiwit folklore. The researcher obtains the primary data through observation and direct communication with the respondents in the form of interviewing historians and experts in culture. The findings show, the values of local wisdom that can be taken from the folklore Sayu Wiwit are confidence, creativity, and behavior that suggested not giving up easily. The manifest of behavioral education can be seen through the values of local wisdom in Sayu Wiwit story, such as nationalism. The 180|behavior and attitude of the main characters reflect the feeling of and care about the country. Those attitudes is showed in the form of the confidence of the characters in Sayu Wiwit story that they do not give up and they tend to be creative when they try to defeat the invaders (Netherland) in Belambangan. The story of Sayu Wiwit is considered as a historical story because it is told orally and this story can be verified with some historical evidences. Puputan Bayu Monument which is located Bayu Village, Songgon District and the name one of heroes who participated in that war is Mas Ayu Wiwit are the several historical evidences. Thus, the values of local wisdom from the folklore can be applied as a behavioral education to foster and develop the spirit of nationalism and patriotism in students.[Artikel ini mendeskripsikan nilai-nilai kearifan lokal yang terdapat dalam cerita rakyat Sayu Wiwit sebagai revitalisasi pendidikan ahklak. Kajian ini merupakan kajian deskriptif kualitatif dengan objek penelitian nilai-nilai kearifan lokal cerita rakyat Sayu Wiwit. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan observasi dan wawancara dengan ahli sejarah dan budayawan. Hasil analisis dan simpulan dalam penelitian ini, yakni nilai kearifan lokal yang tercermin dalam cerita rakyat Sayu Wiwit berupa nilai percaya diri, kreatif, dan pantang menyerah. Wujud pendidikan akhlak dari nilai kearifan lokal cerita rakyat Sayu Wiwit, revitalisasinya terdapat pada pendidikan karakter karakter cinta tanah air, yakni sikap dan perilaku tokoh Sayu Wiwit mencerminkan rasa bangga, setia, dan peduli terhadap tanah airnya. Hal tersebut diwujudkan dalam bentuk kepercayaan diri tokoh Sayu Wiwit yang pantang menyerah dan kreatif ketika melawan para penjajah Belanda di tanah Belambangan. Cerita Sayu Wiwit termasuk cerita sejarah karena diceritakan secara lisan dapat dibuktikan kebenaranya dengan adanya beberapa bukti sejarah yang masih dapat ditemukan. The research entitled A Study on Noble Values of Tembang Macapat Kinanthi in Serat Wulangreh by Pakubuwono IV aimed to discuss the values contained in Tembang Macapat Kinanthi in Serat Wulangreh. This study employed hermeneutic approach with Javanese letter disciplinary analysis. Data source employed was library source, tembang verse text contained in Serat Wulangreh by Sri Susuhunan Pakubuwono IV, particularly pupuh Kinanthi. Data collection was conducted using reading and data recording, data classification, and data reduction techniques. Data validation was carried out using (1) semantic validation, (2) repeated study, and (3) peer discussion. Technique of analyzing data used was comprehension (vresthen) involving discussion stage encompassing: translating, explaining and giving understanding on each problem object, and then interpreting it with context. Furthermore, the meaning of tembang was interpreted philosophically. The result of research showed divine, leadership, decorum, and service-to-parents values.
Penelitian berjudul “Makna Budi Pekerti Remaja pada Serat Wulangreh Karya Pakubuwono IV: Pupuh Macapat Durma”. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan dan mengungkapkan nilai budi pekerti yang terdapat dalam Serat Wulangreh khususnya pupuh Durma. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan hermeneutika dengan analisis disiplin sastra Jawa. Sumber data yang digunakan berupa sumber pustaka, yaitu teks bait-bait tembang Durma dalam Serat Wulangreh karya Sri Susuhunan Pakubuwono IV. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan beberapa langkah, yaitu (1) inventarisasi naskah, (2) deskripsi naskah (3) alih tulis dengan transliterasi standar (4) menterjemahkan dengan metode terjemahan harfiah dan bebas. Keabsahan data penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan, (1) validasi semantis, (2) kajian berulang, dan (3) diskusi dengan teman sejawat. Teknik Analisis data yang digunakan adalah pemahaman (vresthen), dengan tahapan pembahasan: mengungkapkan, menjelaskan serta menterjemahkan tembang tersebut. Hasil penelitian ini mengungkapkan bahwa pada beberapa bait tembang macapat Durma dalam Serat Wulangreh mengandung nilai budi pekerti bagi remaja.
This research analysed the utterance used in Ludruk, a traditional art originated from East Java. The utterance were used in accordance with the story performed by the artists. This article describes the category of illocution, function, and the purpose of the illocution in the Ludruk Joko Sambang Pendekar Gunung Gangsir showed in Kediri on 2017 by a group of East Java Ludruk artists. The research is descriptive qualitative identifying the illocution speech acts in the Ludruk. Research data are the containing speech act in the Ludruk artists' dialogue. Data analysis technique is conducted systematically as follows: (1) Transcribing the utterance and translating the Java language into Indonesia language, (2) Categorizing the data, included the illocution utterance, (3) Analyzing data, how the context, function and its purpose. It is found four utterances categories, namely: (1) Assertive category of complaining, suggesting, fulminating, stating, and revealing mode; (2) Expressive category of giving advice, and requesting; (3) Commissive mode category of offering and promising; (4) Expressive mode category of thanking and fulminating. The declarative category is not found in the Ludruk show utterance. Based on the classification of realization is also found that each utterance has a function to persuade the hearer to do something based on context. ABSTRAK Kajian ini bertujuan untuk menemukan makna yang tersirat dalam naskah tembang ABSTRACTThis study was aimed to discover the meanings implied in the texts of Tembang Gambuh written by KGPAA Mangkunagara IV in his Serat Wedhatama as well as its significance for the society. The texts were originally composed of 25 stanzas, but this study was limited to those associated with sembah (worship). This study employed qualitative paradigm which was conducted by using an embedded-case-study research design. Data was collected from informants, places and events as well as documents/archives or library sources. The validity of the data was tested using the data triangulation. The data was then analyzed by using a model of pragmatic analysis. The findings based on the pragmatic analysis suggested that the dominant implicatures in the Tembang Gambuh in relation to sembah were sembah raga (worship by physical conduct), sembah cipta (worship by controlled/mind conduct), sembah jiwa (spiritual/soul worship), and sembah rasa (worship beyond rituals). For the society, these four types of worship can serve as a warning and moral education that have significant values for someone to draw closer to God by performing worship in accordance to the guideline.
