Meme. They become objects of study of both semiotics and memetics. In this sense, our objective is to compare Peirce's semiotic theoretical reference with the Dawkins's memetic. The study objects-memes -are also understood under the logical relations of signs. The Peircian semiosis is seen with liveliness in these media products that unite technology and culture in favor of the potentialization of symbolic communication. Understanding the positions and uses of referentials vis-a-vis the meme is relevant to communication research. At the end of this reflective course we understand that Peirce's semiotics and Dawkins' memetics, with all their differences of origin, temporalities and goals, are profitable to the studies of memes.
