RESUMOAo longo dos últimos anos, o atendimento da legislação de emissões cada vez mais rigorosa tem sido o foco para o desenvolvimento de motores de veículos comerciais. O desenvolvimento de soluções técnicas que levam a redução do consumo de combustível tornou-se também de extrema importância na área.O gerenciamento térmico nos motores irá desempenhar um papel importante para atender as futuras demandas de redução de consumo de combustível. Com o aumento da demanda térmica dos motores, combinado com o restrito espaço disponível no compartimento, faz-se necessários trocadores de calor de maior eficiência, que ainda assim irão requerer uma maior vazão de ar no sistema.Soluções de sistemas de arrefecimento, ventiladores e bombas d'água combinadas a embreagens viscosa de acionamento eletrônico são exemplos de produtos que auxiliam no atendimento de tais demandas.Resultados de simulações e testes serão apresentados de forma a ilustrar o potencial destas tecnologias. INTRODUÇÃOAs leis de emissões continuarão sendo o direcionador da tecnologia no segmento de veículos comerciais. Em 2012 iniciou-se no Brasil a legislação Proconve P7, o equivalente ao Euro V na Europa, o que pressionou os fabricantes de veículos comerciais e toda a sua cadeia de fornecedores a viabilizarem soluções tecnológicas mais avançadas para os motores e seus periféricos. Os avanços continuarão a acontecer. Com a legislação Euro V já em vigor desde 2008, a União Europeia já está recebendo em 2014 a fase Euro VI [1] do programa de controle de emissões. Mas um ano antes, em 2013, os principais fabricantes de caminhões europeus já tinham adequado as tecnologias dos novos projetos para as demandas do Euro VI. Comparada ao Euro V, esta nova fase restringe ainda mais os gases de emissão e as quantidades de particulados. A introdução do Euro VI no Brasil ainda é um tema ainda em discussão e sem data concreta de implementação, mas desde já os fabricantes e seus fornecedores estão se preparando para a próxima fase que certamente virá. O Brasil é responsável por 3,5% das mortes prematuras mundiais causadas pela exposição às emissões de partículas de veículos urbanos, e por cerca de 30% na América Latina [2].
RESUMOCom o objetivo de reduzir o consumo de combustível e consequentemente os níveis de emissões de CO 2 , um número crescente de veículos passou a ser equipado com a função StartStop, que desliga o motor quando o veículo está parado (e entra em regime de marcha lenta). Em tais veículos, a manutenção do conforto no habitáculo fica comprometida uma vez que o compressor do sistema de ar condicionado desliga-se juntamente com o motor. Adicionalmente, a estratégia de controle usualmente aplicada nos sistemas Start-Stop prioriza o conforto do usuário, partindo o motor quando a temperatura do habitáculo se eleva, reduzindo assim o benefício para o consumo de combustível. Este artigo apresenta um sistema de ar condicionado que se utiliza de um evaporador com um acumulador integrado e preenchido por um material cujas características físicas permitem que este mude de fase quando a temperatura na região do evaporador começa a subir. Desta forma proporciona um prolongamento no tempo de fornecimento de ar frio para o habitáculo. Mantendo-se a sensação de conforto, a fase de motor desligado (função "Stop") pode ser prolongada e assim reduzir efetivamente do consumo de combustível. Resultados de testes serão apresentados de forma a ilustrar a manutenção do conforto no habitáculo. INTRODUÇÃOO consumo de combustível torna-se, a cada dia, um atributo mais relevante no quadro geral de desempenho de um veículo automotor. Regulamentações governamentais mais severas pressionam a redução do volume de emissões de CO 2 da mesma forma que a escalada dos preços dos combustíveis nos direciona a buscar alternativas tecnológicas que priorizem a utilização de combustíveis renováveis, mas possíveis de serem implantadas em larga escala, quer seja quanto à infraestrutura necessária e disponível, quer seja quanto ao montante de investimento demandado do consumidor final. Adicionalmente, demandas governamentais no sentido de mensurar o volume de emissões bem como estabelecer padrões de elegibilidade à redução da carga tributária (na forma dos programas de etiquetagem veicular e do Inovar Auto) renovam a necessidade pela busca de alternativas técnicas viáveis que proporcionem a manutenção da competitividade do portfólio ofertado pelas montadoras de veículos.
Este trabalho tem como o intuito de desenvolver e validar uma metodologia para simulação da fadiga causada pela variação da temperatura em um trocador de calor durante regimes transitórios utilizando simulações CFD e FEA.Após a simulação colocamos as mesmas condições de contorno em bancada para validar experimentalmente os resultados obtidos. Assim, conseguimos gerar propostas de design e material para:-evitar quebras por fadiga causada pelo choque térmico; -reduzir o tempo e custo de desenvolvimento e validação de um produto;-explorar e/ou validar ideias para otimização e redução de custos de um produto.Estes fatores associados se tornam fundamentais em uma indústria cada vez mais competitiva, focada em qualidade, inovadora e sem margem para erros. INTRODUÇÃOCom o intuito de diminuir cada vez mais o impacto que os veículos comerciais causam no meio ambiente os fabricantes de caminhões e ônibus vem desenvolvendo tecnologias para reduzir ainda mais o consumo de combustível e a emissões de gases e quantidade de partículas.Os sistemas de gerenciamento térmico nos motores assume uma função relevante, uma vez que para reduzir as emissões os veículos requererão uma maior dissipação
