The objective of this research was to evaluate the listening comprehension of the English language through the Mobile electronic Learning (Podcast). A diagnosis was applied to teachers who teach the English language in the Pedro Vicente Maldonado Educational unit of the city of Riobamba. To this end, we analyzed the methodological principles that guide the use of podcast as a didactic tool in the teaching of the English language with emphasis on the dexterity of listening. For the podcast application, multimedia resources were used on mobile devices; while the evaluation was carried out over an eight-week period. The research is descriptive, so the information was developed in a precise and systematic way. The collection of information was through a survey aimed at teachers, the same one that underwent review and was endorsed by academic peers; the analysis of the data was through descriptive statistics, that is to say that the obtained information was tabulated, interpreted and represented by means statistical tables and graphs. Finally, it was determined that the podcast is useful in listening comprehension in the English language learning process, as it constitutes an entertaining and multifunctional technique for teaching.. El objetivo de esta investigación fue identificar las dificultades que predominan en la enseñanza-aprendizaje de inglés como Lengua Extranjera en los estudiantes del nivel B1. La muestra estuvo conformada por 50 estudiantes pertenecientes a la Carrera de Electrónica. El estudio fue descriptivo ya que los resultados fueron descritos, analizados e interpretados de acuerdo a los datos obtenidos de las encuestas. El cuestionario estuvo dividido en dos secciones: en la primera sección se presentaron 15 preguntas dicotómicas, donde los estudiantes debieron elegir entre Si o No; la segunda sección presento 15 ítems los cuales fueron analizados considerando una escala numérica del 1 al 10. Por otra parte, este fue un estudio de campo; ya que, los datos fueron recolectados directamente de la población estudiada y el lugar donde ocurrieron los hechos. Los investigadores no manipularon ni controlaron las variables: las dificultades de aprendizaje y el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes. Después de que lo datos fueron tabulados y analizados, se pudo concluir que las dificultades relacionadas al ámbito académico fueron: el número de horas y los horarios asignados para las clases de inglés; que los contenidos planificados no se apegan estrictamente a las necesidades de los estudiantes; y que la falta de motivación por parte de los profesores no permite que los estudiantes puedan mantener la atención durante las clases. En lo que respecta a las dificultades emocionales, los estudiantes identificaron tres como las más comunes: el nerviosismo, la inseguridad y la frustración. Por lo que se recomienda que todos los entes involucrados se responsabilicen y participen activamente en el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje del inglés y de ese modo podamos asegurar una educación de calidad para romper con estos problemas que afectan en las aulas de inglés.
Introducción. Algunos problemas de la enseñanza de una segunda lengua extranjera en el contexto del principio de variabilidad de la educación ecuatoriana en relación con la necesidad de desarrollar ciertas competencias entre los estudiantes, permitiéndoles participar en una nueva sociedad basada en el conocimiento. Objetivo. Identificar los aspectos y problemas que presentan los diversos grupos de aprendizaje de la lengua extranjera en la educación bàsica, media y superior. Metodología. Se discute un conjunto de problemas relacionados con la enseñanza y el aprendizaje de una segunda lengua extranjera y se proponen formas de resolverlos. El apoyo de las tecnologías de juegos educativos y su aplicación en lecciones de idiomas extranjeros es parte de la metodología para coadyuvar los problemas de aprendizaje, las funciones y el valor de las formas lúdicas de enseñanza en el proceso de enseñanza y educación en una lengua extranjera. Se presta especial atención a la clasificación de juegos de learning and speaking. Resultados. A partir del análisis de las clasificaciones existentes, los autores proponen su propia clasificación, centrándose en los juegos creativos y de rol en las lecciones de idiomas extranjeros. Conclusiones. La enseñanza obligatoria de una segunda lengua extranjera se convertirá en una continuación razonable de la integración del individuo en el espacio mundial. Al usar juegos de computadora, es importante seguir las reglas que ayudan a preservar la salud y la vista de los estudiantes, y también no dejar que un buen pasatiempo los aleje de la realidad.
