About the trans-LipoidsThe authors have reported about the natural occurance, formation and the metabolism of trans-fatty acids. According to their own experiments, in case of hens they did not go from the hardened fat in the yolk. In case of human beings and animals (pigs and cattle) the brain lipids remain free of trans-fatty acids even with a trans containing diet. The synthesis of translecithins by elaidinisation with isoamylnitrite is given.
