Hyperfine structure of the transition 5d4D7/2-6p4P05/2 in Xe II is measured for the isotopes 129,131Xe, and h.f.s. coupling constants A and B are evaluated for the 6p4P05/2 level. Isotope shifts in the same transition are measured for 128,129,130,131,134,136Xe relative to 132Xe utilizing Lambdip technique in a beam-laser experiment. The field shifts are evaluated yielding relative changes δ ⟨r2⟩ of mean-square charge radii.
Isotope shifts of the 2D5/2,3/2-2P3/2 transitions in Ba II even isotopes have been measured by means of Lamb-dip spectroscopy. The obtained values are:Δν138-136 = -94 ± 4 MHz; Δν138-134 = -192 ± 7 MHzfor λ = 614 nmΔν138-136 = -101 ± 8 MHz; Δν138-134 = -195 ± 9 MHzfor λ = 585 nm.The nuclear volume effect for these isotopes seems to be negligible.
Foil-excited spectra of multiply charged Al ions in the spectral range ~300-1000 Å have been recorded at 10, 20, 30 and 45 MeV beam energies using the Uppsala tandem accelerator. Radiative lifetimes of some of the low-lying levels in 3-, 4- and 5-electron Al were measured using the beam-foil time of flight method. Oscillator strengths have been derived from the measurements and will be compared with theory
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
