Memorizing the Qur’an is the Sunnah of Prophet Muhammad, may peace be upon him. The most crucial part of remembering the Quran is the process of learning. In general, this activity is conducted privately memorizing, one teacher for one student. One obstacle of memorizing the Quran is the limited number of teachers and many students. This private model undoubtedly ineffective. The teacher is difficult to handle the activities. Also, the teacher cannot control the student to memorize more verses because teachers must hear one by one to the student’s reading voice. Information technology has the potential benefit to innovate the learning models of memorizing the Quran. In this study, we develop a learning model using mobile technology. We design mobile learning that students can memorize independently; however teachers can still listen to reviews their reading sample, evaluate, and give guidance. The student module comes with a paragraph of verse view, including the translations. The student module also features a reading reference from international Qori. Besides that, the student module comes with a voice recording facility so students can compare with the reference reader. Teachers can assess every student until students good in reading and more verses to memorize. The primary findings of this study indicate that the teacher can handle more with better student performance. Students are highly motivated to memorize and self-evaluate their reading because they always feel under supervising by the teacher.
Pangan yang sehat mencakup pangan yang bergizi dan aman dikonsumsi. Pangan yang sehat dapat menunjang pertumbuhan, perkembangan, dan kesehatan seseorang. Anak usia sekolah membutuhkan makanan dengan status gizi yg baik. Karakteristik anak sekolah sering tidak sarapan dengan mengganti makanan yang mengandung kalori atau zat gizi yang rendah. Hal ini mencerminkan kebiasaan makan jajan yang buruk yang berpengaruh terhadap status gizi. Jajanan yang sehat dan aman adalah makanan jajanan yang memiliki komposisi gizi yang baik dan berimbang serta tidak mengandung bahan pangan berbahaya. Penelitian yang dilakukan sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar makanan jajanan yang dijual belum memenuhi nilai gizi yang diharapkan. Oleh karena itu, dibutuhkan suatu metode pendidikan gizi untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan tentang makanan jajanan yang sehat. Pemberian edukasi kepada anak lebih baik dilakukan mulai dari rumah atau orang terdekat. Berdasarkan hasil pengabdian diketahui bahwa lebih dari 90% ibu-ibu selalu memberikan jajanan kepada anak dengan dasar kesukaan dan mudah didapat serta murah harganya, bukan atas dasar kesehatan. Hal ini juga terlihat bahwa 75% anak memilih jajanan yang tidak sehat ketika disuruh mengambil jajanan yang disediakan. Dengan adanya penyuluhan yang diberikan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan ibu tentang jajanan sehat yang aman bagi anak anak. Pemberian pemahamam kepada ibu ini harus dilakukan secara terus menerus.
This paper proposes to present the results of the development of the Virtual Teaching Assistant (VTA). This system is an e-learning module as a learning aid for medical students currently pursuing professional medical doctor in hospitals. In Indonesia, students of the medical doctor profession education must study and work in hospitals like an experienced doctor. They interact directly with patients and provide the same services as doctors. Every student has a professional doctor at the hospital as a mentor or companion. However, student meetings with accompanying doctors are minimal. It is not uncommon for students to encounter difficulties when dealing with patients, but they do not immediately receive guidance. As students, it is natural that they sometimes forget the theory. These students need a theoretical learning source that is fast and practical, which students can use between activities. We developed VTA to meet the needs of information and fast learning resources. VTA can run on computer, laptop, or smartphones by utilizing speech recognition technology. Students only need to ask questions in the form of speech using their everyday language, and VTA will provide answers. Although the VTA answer is still not satisfactory, it potentially to support Question and Answer-based mobile learning for particularly learning subject.
