Die Pityriasis rubra (Hebra) ist eine sehr seltene Erkrankung, so dass der Einzelne meist nur fiber einige wenige Fglle Erfahrungen sammeln konnte. K aposi gibt in der neuesten Auflage seines Lehrbuches an, dass H ebra sen., welcher zuerst die Krankheit genauer beschrieben und yon anderen unterschieden hat, nur 15 Fglle, er selbst nur 14 Fglle gesehen habe. J a d a s s o h n*) hat in seiner ausgezeichneten und griindlichen krbeit fiber Pityriasis rubra nur fiber eigene drei Fglle berichten kSnnen, yon welchen der eine nach seiner Auffassung nur mit grosser Wahrscheinlichkeit als Pityriasis rubr~ diagnosticirt werden konnte, und stellt tabellarisch 16 Fglle yon sicherer Pityriasis rubra zusammen, denen er auf einer zweiten Tafel 9 FRlle, bei denen die Diagnose nicht sieher, aber sehr wahrscheinlich ist, hinznffigt. Die Krankheit ist als~ eine seltene und nieht immer leieht zu erkennen, weil a ndere Erkrankungen zum Theil iihnliche Bilder geben kSnnen und die Pityriasis selbst mehr negative als positive Symptome aufweist. Zu diesen Schwierigkeiten kommt noeh, wie J ~ d a s s o h n auch hervorhebt~ hinzu, dass die M~ngel tier dermatologischen Nomencl~tur, wie bei vielen anderen Hautkrankheiten, so auch hier vor allem die internationale Verst~ncligung erschweren.
