Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa com abordagem sócio-histórica cujo objetivo foi conhecer o estigma e preconceito vivenciado por pacientes/residentes institucionalizados acometidos pela hanseníase. Para tanto, foram entrevistados três pacientes que viveram em um hospital colônia no período do estudo, utilizando-se o método de história oral. Os dados foram coletados e posteriormente analisados, utilizando-se do referencial de estigma. Os resultados evidenciaram que após o ingresso na instituição, esses doentes tiveram seus laços familiares rompidos, perderam seus direitos como cidadãos, em decorrência dessa situação, assumiram novas vidas em um novo contexto. Concluindo, o isolamento nosocomial por um longo período de tempo (anos de internação e afastamento), provocou a morte simbólica de muitos pacientes que viviam com a esperança de um retorno ao convívio familiar e/ou social.
O texto desenvolve idéias desencadeadas a partir de reflexões teóricas e das vivências das autoras diante da compreensão histórica da psiquiatria e alguns pontos chave da desinstitucionalização com o objetivo de vislumbrar possibilidades de um novo paradigma onde o ser humano possa ser visto como um cidadão em sofrimento e não mais como uma doença. Em decorrência das mudanças da área da psiquiatria, a enfermagem buscou inserir-se de maneira a oferecer uma assistência mais humanizada fundamentada nos princípios da Reforma Psiquiátrica. É necessário pensarmos as nossas práticas a partir de uma perspectiva humana, sensível, reflexiva, crítica, criativa reconhecendo a especificidade e a objetividade de cada ser humano com que interagimos. Portanto, a enfermagem necessita repensar os seus saberes e as suas práticas reavaliando sua atitude, postura, trabalho em grupo e ética.
Trata-se de uma pesquisa histórica cujo objetivo foi historicizar a equipe de enfermagem e os pacientes no Hospital Colônia Sant'Ana (HCS), no período de 1941 a 1960. Foram entrevistados cinco funcionários que trabalharam no Hospital no período do estudo e utilizadas outras fontes documentais. Para análise dos dados foi utilizado o referencial foucaultiano. O HCS se caracterizou como principal pólo de assistência psiquiátrica no Estado Catarinense. A equipe de Enfermagem era constituída pelas religiosas, "enfermeiros" e "vigilantes". A instituição recebia pacientes indigentes, conveniados e particulares, com variados diagnósticos médicos e até mesmo, somente casos sociais. As condições gerais do Hospital eram precárias. O período estudado possibilitou visualizar que o tratamento dispensado aos doentes, assim como as condições de trabalho oferecidas aos trabalhadores, estavam distantes do ideal, faziam parte de uma política nacional, caracterizada pela criação de macro hospitais psiquiátricos estatais.
RESUMO: Trata-se de um relato de experiência realizado junto a clientes pSicóticos crónicos desinstilucionalizados , que estiveram em acompanhamento por uma enfermeira num CAPS/NAPS de Florianôpolis, durante dez anos, ou seja de 1989 a 1999. Ao final desse período , pode-se visualizar que clientes psicóticos crónicos, quando em um acompanhamento sistematico com vinculo com o grupo terapêutico conseguem manter uma vida relativamente saudável , alcançando objelivos, superando crises e mantendo-se fora dos muros do manicómio.PALAVRAS-C HAVE: clientes psic6licos, enfermagem, assistência psiquiâtrica , CAPS INTROOUZINDO A PROBLEMÁTICA DO ESTUDO Durante mais de um século no Brasil , o atendimento ao doente mental esteve praticamente limitado a internaçêo em grandes hospitais psiquiátricos estatais. Além destes hospitais, posteriormente foram criadas clinicas psiquiátricas privadas. Embora menores, não fugiam da proposta inicial de retirar o doente de seu meio social, para tratá-lo. Com o passar do tempo, observou-se que estes recursos, ao contrário de tratar, muitas vezes cronificavam os doentes. Em algumas situações os hospitais se caracterizavam como verdadeiros "depósitos de doentes mentais~ e o tratamento dispensado se caracterizava por ser desumano e cruel.A partir do final da década de 70 , os trabalhadores de saúde mental começaram a desencadear um movimento de mudança de tal realidade, para oferecer um tratamento mais humanizado e efetivo , resgatando a cidadania do doente mental. Passam então, a discutir em todos os fóruns (Congressos Brasileiros de Psiquiatria, Conferências Nacionais de Saúde Mental, entre outros) a necessidade de reverter esta situação. Destas discussões consubstanciou-se a proposta da reforma psiquiátrica brasileira, onde deveriam ser considerados alguns pontos fu ndamentais como: reverter a tendência hospitalocêntrica através da priorização de implantaçflo de um sistema extra-hospitalar e multi profissional de assistência; proibir a construçêo de novos hospitais psiquiátricos e a sua substituição por leitos psiquiátricos em hospitais gerais; o , Prémio Jane Fonseca Proença, 1° lugar. 51" CBEn.: En", do CAPS -Florianópo/islSC -Especialista em Adm. Trata-se de uma pesquisa qualitativa cujo objetivo foi refletir com o indivíduo em sofrimento psíquico, suas experiências vividas no cotidiano, identificando os significados destas experiências. O estudo foi realizado com dois clientes de um Centro de Atenção Psicossocial (CAPS II), em Florianópolis. A coleta dos dados ocorreu a partir da implementação do processo de cuidado, segundo a Teoria de Rosemarie Rizzo Parse. Na análise dos dados foram identificados os seguintes significados: convivendo com as lembranças da infância; a co-constituição da doença psiquiátrica; o trabalho permeando o processo saúde-doença; transcendendo em saúde, cidadania e qualidade de vida, iluminados pela Reforma da Assistência Psiquiátrica. Assim, a teoria "Tornar-se Humano", com seus conceitos, princípios e pressupostos permitiu ao indivíduo em sofrimento psíquico vislumbrar de uma nova maneira de viver, afinada com a proposta da Reforma Psiquiátrica Brasileira.
