Solid bath soap is a cosmetic preparation to remove dirt from skin surfaces. Kaffir lime peel is a good natural ingredient for skin health. The aim of this study was to produce cosmetic preparation of solid bath soap from a thick extract kaffir lime peel with several concentrations. The thick extract of kaffir lime peel is made by maceration by dissolving 500 grams of powder with 96 % ethanol as solvent as much as 1,000 mL for 2x24 hours and concentrated using a rotary evaporator at 500 C. the method used in soap making is cold processing. The result of the study was a solid bath soap, smelling of fresh orange, bluish color to turquoise blue depends on the concentration of the active substance of kaffir lime extract, soft texture and homogeneous color, Formula 1 with concentration of kaffir lime peel extract of 1 % has pH 10.0, foam height of 5.0 cm, water content was 1.76% and free fatty acids was 2.51%. Formula 2 with concentration was kaffir lime peel extract of 3 % value pH 10.0, foam height of 5.0 Cm, moisture content of 1.95 % and free fatty acids was 2.51 % while formula 3 with an extract of 5 % has a pH 10.0 foam height was 5.0 cm, water content was 0.73 % and free fatty acid was 2.51 %. Solid bath soap with thick extract off kaffir lime peel meets the requirements of SNI number 3532 of 2016 for pH, and moisture content tests while the free fatty acid test does not meet these requirements of SNI
Bawang hitam (black garlic) merupakan hasil pemanasan dari bawang putih sehingga dihasilkan warna hitam, rasanya sedikit manis, bertekstur lemut, gurih, dan terasa kenyal. Sebagai bentuk pengamalan Tri Darma Perguruan Tinggi, Politeknik Kesehatan Kementerian Kesehatan Jakarta II Program Studi Diploma III Analisis Farmasi dan Makanan melaksanakan kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat. Tujuan untuk membina calon alumni Prodi D3 Anafarma Poltekkes Kemenkes Jakarta II tentang cara pembuatan dan pemasaran bawang hitam (Black garlic). Manfaat yang dapat diperoleh binaan dari kegiatan ini antara lain dapat membuat bawang hitam (black garlic) dan memasarkannya baik secara online maupun offline. Metode yang digunakan merupakan pelatihan dan pendampingan yang terdiri dari: pelatihan pembuatan bawang hitam dengan menggunakan alat yang sederhana, pelatihan pembuatan label kemasan, pendampingan pembuatan nama produk, dan pelatihan pemasaran produk. Hasil dari kegiatan ini dapat menghasilkan calon wirausahawan baru yaitu alumni telah melakukan pemasaran secara offline sebanyak 9 paket dan secara online sebanyak 3 paket, Kesimpulan yang dapat diambil dari kegiatan ini adalah menciptakan satu tim alumni Prodi D-III Analisis Farmasi dan Makanan menjadi wirausaha baru.
Liquid smoke made from green betel leaf (Piper betle L) and red betel leaf (Piper crocatum Ruiz & Pav) has been made by pyrolysis. To determine the allegations of the chemical compounds contained in these two liquid smoke, they were tested by Gas Chromatography-Mass Spectrometry (GC-MS) method. Based on the test results it was found that there were 7 suspected compounds in the liquid smoke of green betel leaf and 30 compounds in red betel liquid smoke. The main compounds contained in the liquid smoke of green betel leaf are Isamoxole as the anti-allergic, 5,10-Diethoxy-2,3,7,8-tetrahydro-1H, 6H-dipyrrolo [1,2-a; 1', 2'-d ] Pyrazine as an antifungal and 3,5-Dimethoxyphenol has the potential to be antibacterial while in red betel leaves are 4-(1H-1,3-Benzodiazol-2-yl) phenol and Benzene, 1,2,3trimethoxy-5-(2 -propenyl) -Bioactivity potential of the two compounds has not been found. KARAKTERISASI KIMIA ASAP CAIR HASIL PIROLISIS DAUN SIRIH HIJAU (Piper betle L) DAN MERAH (Piper crocatum Ruiz&Pav) ABSTRAKAsap cair berbahan baku daun sirih hijau (Piper betle L) dan daun sirih merah (Piper crocatum Ruiz& Pav) telah dibuat dengan cara pirolisis. Untuk mengetahui dugaan senyawa kimia yang terkandung dalam kedua asap cair ini, produk asap cair diuji dengan metode KromatografiGas-Spektroskopi Massa (KG-SM). Berdasarkan hasil pengujian ditemukan terdapat 7 dugaan senyawa dalam asap cair daun sirih hijau dan 30 senyawa dalam asap cair sirih merah. Senyawa utama yang terdapat dalam asap cair daun sirih hijau adalah Isamoxolesebagai antialergi berikutnya 5, 3,7,6Hdipyrrolo[1,1',pyrazine sebagai antijamur dan 3,5-Dimethoxyphenol berpotensi sebagai antibakteri sedangkan dalam daun sirih merah yaitu 4-(1H-1,3-Benzodiazol-2-yl)phenol dan Benzene, 1,2,3-trimethoxy-5-(2-propenyl)-belum ditemukan potensi bioaktivitas dari kedua senyawa tersebut. The betel (Piper betle L) is an herb that has one of the properties, namely as an antibacterial. Several studies have shown green betel leaf extract can inhibit the growth of Gram-positive and Gram negative bacteria. In this study, the antibacterial activity of liquid smoke produced from betel leaf by pyrolysis using a simple pyrolysis reactor was tested. Tests are carried out on 2 types of liquid smoke namely grade 3 which is the first product of the pyrolysis process and grade 2 which is the result of distillation from grade 3. Both types of liquid smoke are prepared into concentration of 100%, 75%, 50%, 25% respectively water as a solvent. Two types of bacteria are used, namely Salmonella sp as Gram-negative bacteria and Staphylococcus aureus as Gram-positive. The test results show that grade 3 and grade 2 liquid smoke give minimum inhibitory concentration (MIC) at the same concentration of 50% against Salmonella sp and, Staphylococcus aureus at 25%, 75% concentrations, respectively.
