Pesquisa que objetiva evidenciar a competência em informação e a aprendizagem ao longo da vida enquanto recursos para alcançar vantagem competitiva nas organizações que aprendem. Tal reflexão é possibilitada a partir da consulta a materiais publicados em nível nacional e internacional, que envolvem na discussão as temáticas da competência em informação, da aprendizagem ao longo da vida a gestão do conhecimento em organizações. Inicia abordando a crise nos sistemas tradicionais de aprendizagem e de administração, salientando que estes não estão em consonância com as características da nova ordem mundial, que é marcada pela fluidez e pela imprevisibilidade dos negócios. Insere na discussão a proposta de aprendizagem organizacional de Peter Senge (2013), fundada com base em cinco disciplinas: domínio pessoal; modelos mentais; construção de visão compartilhada; aprendizagem em equipe e pensamento sistêmico. Aliado à proposta da aprendizagem organizacional, apresenta a competência em informação e a aprendizagem ao longo da vida enquanto movimentos congruentes à proposta de Senge. Ainda, relaciona a competência em informação como elemento para a gestão do conhecimento em organizações. Finaliza argumentando que esses movimentos podem contribuir para a ressignificação dos sistemas tradicionais de administração e de aprendizagem.
ResumoA competência em informação envolve um conjunto de habilidades, atitudes e comportamentos para lidar com recursos e fontes informacionais no contexto atual. Essa pesquisa aborda a competência em informação do idoso, que é uma população com propensão à situação de vulnerabilidade social. Objetiva identificar as investigações que vêm sendo produzidas contemplando competência em informação do idoso, a fim de auxiliar na elaboração de um "estado da arte" que possa apresentar o status das pesquisas envolvendo a temática, além de identificar áreas correlatas que podem colaborar para investigações nesse contexto. Em âmbito internacional, identifica treze pesquisas nessa abordagem, que envolvem as áreas de ciências sociais aplicadas, ciências da saúde e ciência da computação. Esses estudos contemplam a competência em informação para a saúde do idoso, o desenvolvimento da competência em informação na perspectiva da biblioteconomia, e também o desenvolvimento de habilidades digitais para o desenvolvimento dessa competência do idoso. Em âmbito "local", correspondente à Ibero-América, recuperou cinco resultados sobre literacia em saúde, que é um movimento investigado cientificamente pela área da saúde. Está relacionado à competência em informação do idoso, porém possui abordagem voltada para a manutenção de hábitos saudáveis e boa saúde. Finaliza afirmando que existe um vasto campo a ser explorado na temática, que pode colaborar para a compreensão desse movimento nesse grupo em específico. Palavras-chave:Competência em informação. Idoso. Estado da arte. AbstractInformation Literacy (IL) involves a set of skills, attitudes and behaviors to deal with information resources and sources in the current context. This research addresses the information literacy of the elderly, who is a population prone to social vulnerability. It aims to identify the investigations that have been produced, containing information literacy of the elderly, in order to assist in the elaboration of a "state of the art" that can present the status of the researches involving the subject, besides identifying related areas that can collaborate for investigations in this context. At the international level, it identifies thirteen researches in this approach, which involve the areas of Applied Social Sciences, Health Sciences and Computer Science. These studies include information literacy for the health of the elderly, the development of information literacy in the perspective of librarianship, and also the development of digital skills for the development of this literacy of the elderly. In the "local" area, corresponding to Ibero-America, it recovered five results on health literacy, which is a movement investigated scientifically by the health area. It is related to the information competence of elderly, but it has an approach focused on the maintenance of healthy habits and good health. He ends by stating that there is a vast field to be explored in the theme, which can contribute to the understanding of this movement in this specific group.
RESUMO A competência em informação é um movimento social e científico, que investiga os processos referentes à busca, ao acesso, à avaliação, à comunicação e ao uso da informação. Como movimento científico, integrou-se à Ciência da Informação, que emergiu a partir do problema da sobrecarga em informação e das dificuldades em recuperá-la. O artigo propõe investigar a relação epistemológica entre a Ciência da Informação e o movimento científico da competência em informação. Identifica-se, na ciência da informação, a existência de três paradigmas, apresentados por Capurro (2003): paradigma físico, paradigma cognitivo e paradigma social; e também três vertentes epistemológicas, oriundas da sociologia, indicadas por Araújo (2003): corrente positivista/funcionalista, corrente crítica e corrente social. Com base nas propostas de Capurro (2003) e Araújo (2003), concebe-se a existência de três vertentes de pesquisa sobre competência em informação: a vertente cognitiva, com aproximações funcionalistas e positivistas, a vertente social e a vertente crítica. Essas aproximações epistemológicas orientam as investigações que atualmente são desenvolvidas na temática. Por fim, argumenta-se em favor da fenomenologia enquanto princípio teórico-metodológico congruente às pesquisas em competência em informação, visto que a informação é um produto político, revelado no social, que sofre interferências do mundo externo.
Objetiva realizar uma reflexão acerca da prática de leitura de literatura infantil para o desenvolvimento da Competência Informacional nas crianças. A Competência Informacional é caracterizada por um movimento que estimula o uso crítico e reflexivo da informação. Trata da primeira fase de desenvolvimento da Competência Informacional, entendida, nesse artigo, como letramento informacional, que se constitui em um processo. É nessa fase que o indivíduo desenvolve habilidades básicas relacionadas aos suportes informacionais, geralmente na infância. Nesse contexto, insere a prática de leitura de literatura infantil como meio de propiciar o desenvolvimento da Competência Informacional nas crianças. Aponta o bibliotecário e a biblioteca como propulsores do desenvolvimento deste conjunto de habilidades. Afirma que a função social da literatura infantil é, de certa forma, propiciar o desenvolvimento da Competência Informacional, pois apresenta o maravilhoso como forma de entender a realidade. Conclui com sugestões de mudança de comportamento do bibliotecário – de técnico para educador, a fim de que o mesmo possa participar de forma dinâmica, do letramento informacional, fomentando a leitura de textos literários infantis.AbstractThis paper proposes to stimulate a discussion about the practice of reading children's literature to develop Information Literacy of children. Information Literacy is a movement that encourages critical and reflective use of information by people. The first phase of Information Literacy is a process related to informational media and other basic skills, and is usually developed in childhood. In this context, it inserts the practice of reading children's literature as a way of promoting the development of Information Literacy in children. Also, the librarian and the library are seen as collaborators in the mentioned process. Introdução: A situação do idoso no ambiente da sociedade da informação pode designar condição de vulnerabilidade social em alguns aspectos. A competência em informação, enquanto conjunto de habilidades, conhecimentos, atitudes e valores relacionados com a informação, pode configurar-se como um instrumento de transformação da realidade social do idoso. Essa pesquisa trata da competência em informação do idoso especificamente sob o foco das necessidades de informação, e insere o profissional da informação como mediador desse processo. Objetivos: descrever as características relacionadas à competência em informação e às necessidades de informação em idosos. A partir dessas descrições, estabelece algumas ações relacionadas à mediação da informação, que podem ser desenvolvidas pelo profissional da informação na ocasião de desenvolver a competência em informação do idoso. Metodologia: Trata-se de uma pesquisa bibliográfica, cujos dados foram coletados nas bases de dados Library and Information Science Abstracts (LISA), Web of Science e Scopus. Resultados: as necessidades de informação são subjetivas, e dependem da situação social, cultural ou política dos idosos. De toda forma, tais necessidades são relacionadas à saúde, finanças e lazer são recorrentes nos estudos analisados. Dentre as ações que podem ser desenvolvidas pelo profissional da informação que atua como mediador, estão iniciativas de socialização que preconizam a aquisição de informação acidental e estratégias de condensação de informação, que respeitam a condição cognitiva do idoso. Conclusão: preconiza que a competência em informação, para o idoso, pode representar um método de libertação da situação de opressão e vulnerabilidade no ambiente da sociedade da informação.
